Advantages: Excellent value for money Disadvantages: No extra features, such Video CD capability
...Although Matsui's DVD player may well be at the bottom of the price range, it most certainly isn't at the same level for quality. I have had mine since it first came on to the market and haven't had any problems whatsoever. It can be chipped to play multi region DVDs by a series of commands from the remote control, and can handle playing these without any hastle.
I have watched DVDs on other models such as a Samsung, and I am yet to find any better quality of picture or sound. OK, the more expensive models have extra features, but for a low cost and for someone who is just after a straight foward DVD player, no frills, then the Matsui is my first choice. Cheap and Cheerful....

...As with many products quality has a price tag, the Matsui 2GB doesn't meet the standards you would expect for a £25 MP3 Player.
You can store 400+ plus songs on the player, but if you put more than 100 songs it becomes tempramental and often refuses to load and will stay on the load up screen forever. Or untill you plug back it back into your PC and remove half of the songs.
The quality of sound produced is not as you would expect, even after buying high quality headphones the sound is muffled.
It would be better to save your money and buy a slightly more expensive player for the trouble that this one causes
All in all, i would not reccomend this player to anyone. Unless they wanted to be fustrated and annoyed by a small piece of electrical equipment...

Advantages: Nice and cheap with excellent standard of quality Disadvantages: None really.
...I had a telly which was quite good - for about four weeks! It was a bush model and i bought it as recondition bargain for £180. It was "28" inch and i thought that it was a real bargain but then it started to play up so i took it back and was refunded. So now i had £180 to go and buy a new television, but it couldn't be any because i was so used to watching tv on a big screen that i needed to match that. SO off i went to curry's and there before my eyes was this nice, big silver "28" colour television for £200. The make was Matsui but that did not put me off because funnily enough my VCR was of the same make. A couple of friends have said not to buy anything from Matsui as they are not reputable and are hard to get a hold of if something goes wrong, but i disagreed as i think that Matsui produce excellent and very affordable...
