Advantages: Stock and easy to handle for young children Disadvantages: Don't really do much
...I bought my son a a chunky spiderman figurine for his 2nd birthday.
My son loves spiderman and batman but at the age of two, there is very little on the market toy wise. When I saw this chunky spiderman figurine I thought it would be ideal.
The figurine I bought him was a Spiderman figure with silver plastic web attached to the right arm with a string. It also came with a small plastic target.
The idea of the figure is you pull the arm back and as you let it go the web flies out of the arm and hits the target.
This has been very difficult to use for me and my partner never mind a 2 year old child.
I bought the figure for the 6 Oct 06 and and it is already broken, the arm no longer pulls back and shoots the web.
The stocky build of the spiderman is good for younger children, but the toy is a little boring and the one feature it did have...

...EA love to get their grubby little mitts on everything they can.
Movie licences are hot business because if the film is popular then the game will sell.
The game doesn't have to be good, it just has to look nice.
EA have mastered the polishing a turd routine for years.
So when they picked up the Batman Begins Licence, my heart sank.
Batman is a fantastic character to bring to videogames.
He can do the stealth of solid snake, the combat of Bruce Lee, the driving skills of Colin Mcrae and the Detective skills of Sherlock homes.
This is an amazing CV to put in a game.
Yet nobody has yet managed it.
The last Batman game was a passable attempt, but it was let down by a poor camera and weak combat.
So can EA combine the awesome array of Batman's skills into an amazing package?
As you will probably guess, Batman begins the game follows...

Advantages: son loves it Disadvantages: velcro fastening
...of the batman symbol on.
The suit comes complete with a face mask, with an attached cape, my son never wore it much as he does not like things covering his face loll, and this has now been lost, although he did sometimes just put it round him and lift the mask up onto his head just so he could wear the cape.
The suit is made of 100% polyester, and does state on the label sponge wash only. I would really stick to that rule as my husband did not, and put it in the washer loll. It did not ruin the material, but it did ruin the batman symbol on the front, which is now fading away in places. Never trust a man to do the washing loll. The suit is still used by my son, but it is slightly damaged now.
The suit is fastened from the back using several Velcro strips. I am forever having my son coming up asking me to refasten his suit as it is coming undone...
