The Fisher Price Aquarium Bath Centre has got to be one of the best gifts I received when my baby was born and my friends even provided the Phillips screwdriver I needed to put it together. The bath centre grows in three stages with your child and the stages are Newborn, Infant and Older Baby.
When you remove the packaging you have before you the bathtub, a hammock, three toys and the base. The hammock can be used from newborn and is covered in ocean wonders. The material is bright colourful fish and a few whales and can be used until baby weighs 10lb. If you have a huge baby then you will have to go straight to infant status.
The fitting instructions are
Turn the bath upside down on a flat surface. Fit the base to the bath. Insert the two screws into the base and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
The hammock is soft material and is a bit complicated to fit the first time you use it as you have to clip it onto each corner of the baby bath and then tighten up the straps. Then you put in the plug and put a small amount of water just enough to bathe baby into the bath. After checking the temperature of the water you can put baby in the hammock and put the toys in the slot on the side. The three toys that come with the bath are a thermometer fish shaped toy so you can test the temperature of the water. A cup so you can pour water and a toy that sprinkles water. The hammock is easy to remove and you just have to lift the clips to free it. The hammock is easy to clean and you just need to wipe it over with a damp cloth , rinse thoroughly and then squeeze or wring out all water and put on the washing line to dry. Baby is very secure in the hammock and as it is padded very comfortable too.
When you reach the infant stage you still use the hammock but only clip on the headrest end to the bath and the rest of the hammock lays on the bottom of the baby bath. My boy Brandon is now at the infant stage and he loves his bath. I think he feels safe in the hammock as he doesn't slip around in it but I wouldn't ever leave him alone during bath time anyway as children have been known to drown in baby baths. The bath is very easy to clean just empty and wipe dry with a clean towel.
My little girl Laura not wanting to feel left out often uses the baby bath without the hammock in it which is older baby stage. Really she is a bit big and the bump at the bottom of the bath to stop smaller ones slipping gets in the way and she can use a normal bath anyway. I have to unscrew the base so it sits inside my normal bath. She did ask if she could use it as a boat if I put water in the big bath but that is far too dangerous and so she had a few stamping moments when I said no. The bath is designed for up to two years old.
I really would recommend you buy this bath if you are expecting a baby as it is a large bath, grows with your child, easy to clean, very colourful, comfortable and good quality.

Advantages: Safe, Secure, Fun Disadvantages: Only comes in one colour
When I found out I was pregnant, I made a list of equipment (As I would imagine most new parents do!) I would need when my little bundle of joy arrived. One of the items was a baby bath.
Obviously I wanted a bath that was going to be safe, comfortable and make bath time an enjoyable experience. What caught my eye about the Aquarium Bath Centre were toys that came with the bath. The second reason was the hammock to support a newborn baby. Satisfied ... ...online at my local Argos for £29.99.
