As you have probably guessed I am Welsh and am greatly proud of it, here in Matthew Stevens is another person who is proud of being welsh and not scared to show it. He also happens to be the best snooker player now around in the world, his ability to pot balls is second to none. He is from carmarthen and attended Terry Griffiths' Match Room in Llanelli from a very young age. As a youngster at the matchroom he shot his first 100 break and from then on he was seen as a fantastic talent who could rise all the way to fame. He is along with Mark Williams another Welsh man the best snooker player in the game. The way he relaxes around the snooker table is in a calm manner and always gets his way. I say good Luck to him for his future sucess, though it is not likely he'll need much of it!

Review of Matthew Stevens
Advantages: Gorgeous, great personality Disadvantages: NONE
...most of the games which Matthew Stevens played in. I think Matthew Stevens is lovely, his voice is gorgeous and his voice and facial features have really caught me.
I have been looking for a Web-site about Matthew Stevens but I haven't been very lucky. When he lost the final I was very upset and cried for nearly two hours. He is a great sport and team player and didn't mind that somebody else pipped him at the post.

extremley well organised and seats are clearly marked. Although we are sometimes given different seats each night, we have always had fantastic views (even when we have been at the back of the hall). The first year we had the pleasure of sitting next to Bobby George one night and Mark Williams and MatthewStevens the next (Snooker players). Being a huge fan of Bobby George and snooker in general this was very exciting for me. This year we were sat with 2002 champion Tony David and his family and friends for the whole of the event.
The event is very relaxed and the players often mix with the fans rather than sit in the players lounge. There are a number of famous faces who make appearances including my favourite from last year, Johnny Vegas. Photo opportunities are endless.

Advantages: His potting and brak bulding are the best and the crowd like him. Disadvantages: Sometimes erractic and his safety play is bad.

He did get consistent in The China Open and won and gained points over John Higgins, Mark Williams, Steven Hendry and MatthewStevens especially John as he only got to the last 32. Overall it has been a good season for him.
He is a crowd pleaser because of his fast cue action and makes massive breaks, he is very entertaining with his audious shots, and makes very quick breaks, bit like Tony Drago but is better at him at it, and is the best at break building. Though his safety play is totally rubbish compared to the likes of John Higgins, Mark Williams, MatthewStevens and Steven Hendry and can't win games if they involve safety play for a long while. He though is sometimes very erractic and you can see by his body language when he is down. He has a nickname ...
No player may ever dominate snooker again like Steve Davis did in the 1980s and Stephen Hendry in the 1990s but there could be no disputing the fact that Mark Williams finished the 1999-2000 season a worthy world No 1.
