One other thing to recommend the use of Mavala is that I do a lot of gardening for myself and other people. I was always breaking my nails as I hate using gloves unless it is really necessary. Now that I am using Mavala I find that my nails are so strong that they do not break or split.
On the lst of June this year as my nails were so broken and split and looked terrible I had nail extensions put on in readiness of a Caribbean Cruise leaving the next day. They looked gorgeous, but on the first day of the cruise they started to fall off one by one and by the end of the second week of my holiday they were all off, leaving my nails in a sorry state, covered in glue and split and broken. By the time I returned home my nails were soft, still covered in glue and looked absolutely awful.
The shop where I had the nail extensions put on couldn't understand why they had gradually fallen off. They gave me three free weekly manicure sessions, which, incidentally, did not improve the condition of my nails. I was so upset they still looked awful.

The instructions did say that a second coat of sealer might be necessary to achieve complete coverage to ensure that no roughness remains, and I did find this necessary. After application although the nails were smooth they did look an unattractive flat pinky colour, so it was necessary to apply a coat of nail varnish to finish them off.
The instructions did not however state how often the product should be applied and in fact how to remove it.
I left it on for about a week when it started to look tatty and found that nail varnish remover did take the product off.
That was seven weeks ago and my nails are now far better than they were before I had the extensions put on. I will never have nail extension put on again and with Mavala I shouldn't need to, but I will treat myself to the luxury of a manicure every five weeks.

I am so glad that I discovered Mavala Nail Shield and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone with fragile nails.
The one thing that does concern me though is the fact that the manufacturers do not state how often the product should be applied and for how long. I can't see that there would be a problem, but I am going to contact the manufacturers to get more information on this aspect of the product.

...hand cream. My mum uses Mavala hand cream regularly, so I decided to try it as well. I have to say it's great. You only need a tiny amount of it each time, because it is so rich (but not greasy at all). It is pricey (around £10) but it does last. The tube is small enough to fit into almost any handbag. It also absorbs really easily. The only problem is the price, but if you can afford it - give it a try. ...

Advantages: Dinky bottle. Wide range of shades. Disadvantages: Finding stockists.
, fresh, glossiness throughout and I know this sounds weird, but my nails still feel like they can breathe, unlike when I used to apply other brands in the past which made them feel heavy (I'm hoping die-hard varnish wearers will understand me on this!). To prove I'm not completely insane I just found on the Mavala website "?Unlike traditional nail colour, Mavala's unique formula delivers microscopic air pockets to allow nails to breath and absorb nutrients found in handcreams and other topical treatments?." .
The only snag and it's not a biggie, is that although its really really easy to remove with regular varnish remover - literally one swipe and it's gone - I tend to get a slight colour transference on to my nails and I have to dig about a bit to remove the colour from the skin around the nail bed. This wouldn't be a problem ...
The HAND CREAM is specially formulated for dry, damaged hands and sensitive skin. Its composition blends marine collagen, very moisturizing, and allantoin well-known for its healing properties, to soften dry skin and prevent redness and roughness. A perfectly homogenized product that penetrates and hydrates skin, leaving a non-sticky film which protects hands from pollution and harsh treatment. How to use: Wash and dry hands, then massage them with a small amount of cream, paying particular attention to the back of the hand and do not forget your elbows and knees.
