I live in mascara. It would be my desert island comfort. I dont feel comfortable going anywhere without it on. I know this must seem vain, but hey, nothing wrong with looking good.
Just to juxtapose this love of this particular beauty essential, I have never spent much money on it. I bought a Lash Finity once, and that was more than I would ever have spent under normal circumstances, but I got suckered in by the adverts. Other than that, I spend about £3.00 ish on mascara, and hope it does the job ok.
Up until the point I bought this mascara, I thought I was doing fine without spending ooodles on something that was, like the lash finity, grossley over priced. As I said, that was until I bought this mascara.
Admittedly it was on sale, and just before I set off to uni, I had a panic about whether I had enough mascara to see me through my first term. I think it was more of a comfort thing, I KNOW I could have bought one there, but it was setting off with my little checklist of *computer (yup), bankbook (yup, brain (yup), mascara (yup)*. So, as it was, I paid about £3.00 for this one as well. I love finding expensive brands at cheap prices, its a kind of middle finger back at them for trying to sell me a product for £5 more than it should be.
Got home, packed it, used my regular mascara, slept at uni, woke up, dug this one out and used it that morning. I wondered it I had picked up the right one, or that they had the right one on sale. This mascara was AMAZING! I've always had spider lashes, I like my mascara to be noticeable and that has always meant putting a lot on, but hell, I needed about two swipes of this one and I was done. It was like I had brand new lashes, that were a couple of millimetres longer than the ones that were there a couple of seconds ago. I like to flatter myself into thinking that I have long lashes anyway, but not even my ego could attribute these ones to anything to do with my genes.
I wore it for a couple of days, my new flat mates asked what mascara I used, boys asked if I had fake lashes (well, they are boys, the dont know much really), but my crowning moment with this mascara was when I went to get ready for a night out after sitting with my flat mates with no mascara on (a rare occurence), and came back to be asked if I had just put false lashes on. They just looked on in amazement. I guess Ive never really compared them properly to my unmascared lashes, but thinking about it, I bet theres a bit of a difference.
My only complaints with this would be, as Im getting toward my 3 month mark of binning this tube ( and I WILL be buying this one again) its gone quite gloopy, and a lot is coming out on the brush and clogging up my lashes. The smell isnt all that nice either, not that its exactly a big thing, but it did put me off for a little while.
I cannont comprehend life without this mascara, it is honestly that good.
