Introduction Max Factor is an international firm selling cosmetics. Maximilian Faktorowicz founded Max Factor in 1909. Maximilian Faktorowicz was a polish make-up artist who worked for the russian royal ballet. The company was bought out in 1991 by Procter & Gamble Co.

Naming Max Factor comes from the man who created the company, Maximilian Faktorowicz. 2000 Calorie refers to how much thicker your lashes look. Simple really.
Packaging The mascara comes in a navy blue tube with gold writing on and a gold rim around the lid. On the tube is written "2000 calorie", "dramatic look", "Max Factor", what the mascara aims to do, the company, the size and product code. The cylindrical tube is about 5 inches long and ½ inch wide. Personally I think the packaging is quite sophisticated, it's not incredibly eye catching but does look more expensive than it is. Usually the writing comes off my mascara tubes but I've had this one about 3 months and it's still there which is a plus.
The Brush A lot of Mascara being introduced now are bendy, thin, plastic and make your lashes look like spiders legs. What I think is great about this brush is the fact its quite thick so coats your lashes naturally.
Preparation Before using the mascara I would make sure your eye lashes are free from any dirt using eye make-up remover if possible or if not just use water. Then using and eyelash curler curl your lashes for extra hold. Once your eyelashes are dry hold the brush close to the base of your lashes and pull up slowly in a zigzag motion. Repeat this until all lashes are covered. You should then wait a couple of minutes before repeating again. You can repeat, as many times as you want, depending on what size you want your lashes to be. It doesn't tend to clump so you needn't worry about that.
Smell It smells like all mascaras, not sure how to explain it, sort of chemically but you can't smell it on your lashes or anything, it's not noticeable unless you smell the brush LOL.
Overall View I love this mascara to be honest. It's the best one I've tried in a long time. It makes your lashes stand out without looking tacky. The Mascara is really easy to remove too using just water or make-up remover if you want and it doesn't irritate your eyes.
Price & Stockists I know Boots and Superdrug stock it, not sure about other places like chemists etc. From Boots it costs £7.99 but you can get it off the Internet from Fragrance Direct for just £4.50!
I would recommend trying it, it's not too expensive and in my opinion is well worth every penny!
