'70 Natural' in colour. This looked fairly close to my winter skin colour, but probably in summer could do with a darker one.
Product:
This is a fairly slim, hard plastic, clear tube of foundation with a push down dispensing cap.
You can see the colour of the foundation through the clear casing which is also gold and white in colour.
Age Renew is written in navy blue in the centre of the tube.
Why Buy?:
I found this product to be a little more expensive than the foundatons that I usually buy. Having brought other Max Factor foundations in the past and have been pleased with the results.
I had seen this product advertised on television, and being in my mid thirties, decided that it was worth the money to see if this product could actually hide my sprinkling of freckles (no they are not age spots), blotchy skin and ever so fine lines!
Smell:
This foundation does have a very sweet smell to it. The closest I can describe it is like 'Swizzle sweets'. It did put me off a little at first, but now I've come to love the smell.
Outcome:
This is fairly thick and covers the skin well. I did apply concealer and then applied the foundation over the top. I did not feel that I had to do any touching up of applying more foundation over blemishes.
The colour of the foundation to my normal skin colour was not too different, and only a slight 'tide' mark could be seen. This was easily blended into my neck and surrounding areas.
I found that the appearance of fine lines were less noticible and the foundation gave a good all over coverage.
However, by the end of the day the foundation did tend to look patchy in places.
If I applied one layer then let it dry, then applied another layer on top, as long as they were not too thick, this gave a flawless (with concealer applied underneath) perfection of coverage for a night out on the town. Very pleased with this result as it did not look as if I had 'caked' the foundation on.
My Opinion:
On the container it states that this foundation illuminates skin and gives full coverage that diminishes the appearance of fine lines for an instantly younger look.
I do agree that my skin does not look so tired and trodden on and brighter in appearance. Fine lines did appear less severe. Though this foundation does not vanish them completely, it does flatter their appearance.
I am going to continue to buy this. The foundation lasts along in the container. I would say this has been one of the best foundations I have brought.
