I have always been quite lucky when it comes to spots and have always had nice clear skin which never needed foundation. All throughout my teens I tormented my friends, teasing them when their latest blackhead or whitey appeared or a big red blob right in the centre of their foreheads! Many a time I laughed at their misfortunes, when they had an important date they had been looking forward to for weeks and on the day they'd come into school with ... ...plastered right on the end of their nose! Well, I thought I was so lucky not to undergo any of these horrors and made sure I let them know just how lucky I was...
...but fate has a funny way of twisting around. After going out with a spotty guy about two and a half years back and going a bit to far with the "volcano" jokes, fate decided to give me a taste of my own medicine...

Many a time I laughed at their misfortunes, when they had an important date they had been looking forward to for weeks and on the day they'd come into school with a red lump the size of a ping pong ball plastered right on the end of their nose! Well, I thought I was so lucky not to undergo any of these horrors and made sure I let them know just how lucky I was...
...but fate has a funny way of twisting around. After going out with a spotty guy about two and a half years back and going a bit to far with the "volcano" jokes, fate decided to give me a taste of my own medicine...
...and that brings us to the present day. About one million spots later, I was still searching high and low for a miracle substance that could hide my volcanoes and even out my seemingly patchy skin. Nothing seemed to work! They were too light, too dark, too orange, too thick, too thin, too oily, too short-lasting, too dry, some even brought out the dry skin on my nose and made it look like I was peeling! (sorry if anyone is eating while reading this- you may be a bit put off your food)
By then I was in desperation. My nose was becoming increasingly dry, I had a whole cabbage patch of spots on my chin, and I was getting funny red and yellow patches at the corners of my mouth and on my cheeks. I know I must sound like a monster, but really I don't look that bad... thanks to MaxFactor Facefinity! Yey!

This product is amazing- it is so easy to apply as it is so smooth. It comes in two forms- a hard cream or a liquidy paste. I have the liquidy paste. There are a very good variety of different shades to suit anyone from pale and pasty to dark ebony skin colour (I think there are ten different shades. These do not look at all orangy when applied and do not leave those awful "tide marks" at the edge of the face.
It is also very good as a concealer; you don't have to apply it to the whole face in order to look even all over- if you just apply it to one or two problem areas, it has this wonderful way of merging into the colour of your face without looking like you have any make up on at all! Infact, I've had people telling me how lucky I am that I'm not wearing any make up (little do they know I'm wearing a bucket load!)
This product is perfectly balanced with the amount of oil it has in it- usually, when using other foundations, my skin either feels greasy or else it looks chapped and dry. With Facefinity, it balances out your skin, leaving it feeling and lookingjust right.
Once you have applied a layer of facefinity, you will not ahve to apply it again for the rest of the day. It will stay on all day. It also speads over the skin very easily as opposed to some foundations which are hard to spread and leave splodges everywhere which look ghastly!
Whilst staying on all day, it is also easy to take off- it will come off with the wipe of a flannel- you won't need to scrub half your skin off to get rid of it at night!
PRICE
This is- quite rightly- a rather expesive product. At £7.99 a tube, it is quite a bank breaker, especially for a student, but unfortunately, most people have to pay a price for beauty! Although £7.99 is not a bad price to pay to look naturally beautiful!
WHERE TO BUY IT
You can get hold of this from Boots or any other large department store or supermarket. It is a very popular product which is being advertised on the telly at the moment so is in high demand; there will always be some in stock.
QUANTITY
For this price, you get a reasonable amount- about average really. But what makes it so special in the quantity department is that you only need to apply a thin layer every day which can be done with the tiniest little blob of the stuff so, as you can imagine, it lasts you for ages and ages. It would probably even work out cheaper than buying any other foundation as you probably have to use them about ten times more often!
SMELL
It smells fresh. Of watermelons. I love using this on a hot day when I feel really sticky and sweaty (sorry for all the graphic detail!) I put this on my face and I feel fresh and clean and also I smell good. Maybe I should start applying it to my underarms...
OVERALL
What can I say? A top quality product which does it's job and more, it will last you a lifetime, it is top quality and at a fair price, it will be the basis of your life!
I cannot live without this- it goes everywhere with me and is the only makeup I wear- it has a tendency to make you look like you don't need to wear anything else (on your face, that is!)
...this is less true for Max Factor Beautiful Skin Make Up. When you lay it on the skin, it feels fresh like water. Who should use it? Anyone with normal or oily skin who needs a medium cover effect. Its formulation is also kind on the skin and being parfum free is less likely to give you allergies.
Once again it wasn't the right choice for my daily make up needs, but could be the right choice for somebody else who needs a less heavy foundation. ...

Im not sure what i thought of this make up. It is a good foundation but there was something about it that i did not like.
It was a little bit too runny for the foundation i usually buy.
This makeup is great if you are looking for very natural coverage as its more like a tinted moisturiser. It is a reasonable price as you get a lot of makeup in it. The packaging is lovely too. I dont think that i will be buying this foundation again as it did not ...

I used to use MaxFactorBeautiful Skin makeup until recently when the product line was discontinued. I brought my maxfactor foundation with me to a local pharmacy to see if I could match up the colour with another foundation. I wanted an oil free foundation as my skin can get quite oily and always looks shiny. I saw the Almay skin stays clean foundation and thought it should be quite good. I found a foundation that practically matched the colour of my maxfactor foundation and purchased the product.
I got home and tried the foundation. first when I put the foundation on it had a nice tingly refreshing feel which is quite unusual for a foundation. The foundation looked petty even and smooth. Later on about 2 hours later I noticed that the matt look hadn't lasted that long and my face looked shiny which I wasnt impressed with.

I'd been looking for a bold eyeshadow that would retain its colour all day while I'm at college. My local chemist doesn't have much of a selection of brands, but the Maxfactor was stand enough for me. I came across the Earth Spirits eye shadow collection. I've been using MaxFactor panstick for over 10 years. Some years ago I did a makeup and beauty course and the tutor only ever used panstick on her own clients and therefore taught us to apply panstick correctly. I thought only old ladies used panstick and was quite alarmed at the time to have to go out an buy one of these wierd foundations!
Previous to the course I had used other liquid foundations with quite disastrous results, I could never find the right shade or constancy and I always seemed to obtain the orange mask like face!
Well panstick was a godsend to me. For once, I had a flawless finish in the perfect colour. I am very pale so I find the shade fair is good for me. I haven't used another foundation in years.
The cost for a panstick varies from £5 - £7 depending on where you buy it from which I believe to be excellent ...
