I use False Lash Effect mascara frequently and it's still the best I've found. However, I still haven't found "the" mascara for me. Ease of use: The packaging is ergonomic making it easy to... more

Advantages Advantages Long and thick lashes!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes long to dry, doesn't smell that good

I’m not a girl who likes to use makeup. Unlike my twin, I only use some kohl, lip-gloss and mascara when I go to work or go out with friends or for special occasions. I am lucky enough to have long, dark thick lashes so any kind of mascara should do for me without hassle! However, not any mascara does the job for me. I have sensitive eyes, which can get irritated easily. I discovered that problem when I first used one of my sister’s mascaras; it looked good, but a few minutes later, my eyes stared to itch; when they got watery, I started to scratch my eyes (couldn’t help it) and ended up with ... more

Advantages Advantages My lashes really 'do' look false!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me!

My best friend Maria is gorgeous. She is half Somalian, half white, and kind of glows in the dark, with a natural golden tanned colour which most people would kill for! If I didn't love her so much I would be sickeningly jealous! Blessed with stunning good looks, fabulous teeth and a killer smile -why she should have been a Bond girl back in the 90's, if the producers had had any sense! What the lovely Maria hasn't got in abundance however, are long eyelashes - and being very ultra-chic in her appearance, always, this facial fact has always bothered her to death... Now what, I may hear you ask ... more

Advantages Advantages Lashes are separated, look longer and thicker, and do not clump.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me.

My lashes are of an average length and are dark, so I don't really use mascara on a daily basis. I usually only use it when I'm going out, and so I prefer to invest in a good quality mascara. I had heard a lot of good things about this mascara, and about Max Factor mascaras in general, so when my previous mascara was running out, I decided to go ahead and buy this. Packaging The mascara comes in a chunky tube that makes it easy to spot in your makeup bag, and also easy to hold. When you unscrew the lid, you will see that the brush is quite large, definitely larger than that of other mascaras I ... more

Advantages Advantages Everything but the Effect

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't Add Anything

I have made it quite clear in my previous reviews on eyeliner / mascara and make up removers, that I am very much an eye makeup type of girl. Mascara has been the bare essential I cannot live without. I am lucky to have long lashes, but being fair haired, they need mascara to even be seen! I came across Max Factors false lash effect mascara in Tesco as part of a deal. Usually priced around £8 I picked this up for £6.50, and thought, considering I need something to replace my Maybelline define a lash (which is awful, see previous review) and it was by Max Factor, but cheaper than the usual ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fabulous Eyelashes

Disadvantages Disadvantages The Packaging For Me

I love mascara and if I was sent to a desert island and was given the choice of my last luxury item as either my husband or my mascara then I am afraid that hubby would be left behind!. I have always used black mascara and I always apply at least two or three coats to get my preferred look as I really like them to stand out as I feel that my eyes are my best feature and I have been blessed with long lashes which I think was compensation for a round face, low forehead and no cheekbones!. The mascara itself is in a black tube with a fatter middle which slims at the top and the bottom of the tube ... more
