I'm having a little break. I've got too much going on and can't seem to make the time for Ciao. I've not gone for good by any means, and I will pop in from time to time - my alerts will be off for a little while until I get back on track. Niki :)

For years I have been searching for a lip colour that stays put all day, and now I have finally found one that does just that.
I decided that I needed a new lippie and so I went to my local Boots store. Usually I only spend about £6.00 on lipstick, but I had seen all of the Max Factor advertisments for Lipfinity and decided to pay a little extra and treat myself.
I bought number 103 and it cost £9.99. There is quite a wide selection of colours, that range from pinks, peaches, reds, plums and browns, and all that's inbetween, so there will be a colour for just about everyone.
The products is well packaged in a small rectangular cardboard box (which is goldish in colour), and there is an instruction leaflet on how to apply the product enclosed in it.
The product itself is a two step system, consisting of 'paint for lips' and 'moisturisingtop coat'.
Firstly on dry lips you apply a thin, even layer of the 'paint for lips' and let that dry for approximately one minute. To apply the colour, you use the applicator provided, which is like a little sponge on a stick.
At first, I will admit that I struggled a little with this as I did put too much on my lips, and ended up, going over my natural lipline, which, because of its staying power is a little difficult to remove, as once it's on, you need to remove it with make-up remover. Once I had mastered the art of applying the product, it was great.
As the 'paint for lips' dries, you do feel you lips tightening up, and they do feel very dry, however, this sensation goes once you apply the 'moisturising top coat'.
The top coat is in a tube applicator and is applied like a standard lipstick.
In the tube the top coat is white, but it does go on the lips clear and gives your them a glossy finish and it does make them feel very smooth and soft.
The lip colour stays put all day, but the top coat does wear off, however, you can reapply this during the day or evening.
Once I had the product on, I was very pleased with the results. The colour was lovely and rich, whilst the top coat made them look very glossy.
I decided to put the product through what I would consider 'the ultimate lippie test'. This involved having a meal (Chinese food) and then sipping on about five cocktails, through a straw. Normally, I find that a standard lippie, wears off in the centre of the lips, and you are left with just a line around your mouth (not very attractive, in my opinion!). In the case of Lipfinity, this didn't happen - the colour stayed on perfectly.
I think that the only possible downside is, that because you need a make-up remover to take it off with, if you make a mistake putting on the 'paint for lips', you can't just wipe it off with tissue and start again like you would with a standard lippie. On one occasion, I did accidently go over my cupid's bow, but rather than taking off the whole product, I just dipped a cotton bud in some make-up remover and managed to rectify the mistake.
Overall, an excellent product, which if applied correctly, will stand the test of time. I am so impressed that I can't wait to go and buy some more in other colours!
