Max Factor have given us 32 colours in the Max wear Lip Colour range, so there is plenty to choose from. Lipstick is one of my vices, I love buying new brands and ranges to try out and I also love to experiment. But what amazed me about the Max Wear lip colour range was the depth of some of the colours, you would have to be incredibly bold to consider wearing them. Max Factor stress that the range was created with a professional approach and that they wished to give everyone a chance to create an individual look using this new range.
The slimline lip colour holder is extremely attractive, Max Factor have chosen to use the black centrepiece of the pencil slim case to place their name, either side of their name there is a slimline casing each with a long clear plastic cover. One end of the holder contains the lip colour and the other end holds the clear highlighter that adds the sheen.
Max Factor have devised some fabulous names for this range, we have Violet Vamp, Grape Ape, Split Personality and Raging Sea to name but a few. Now who would have thought that those weird and wonderful names would have been used to describe lipstick.
I feel that Max Factor have excelled themselves with the lip colour casing, it is easily stored in a small hand or clutch bag and it doubles up as both a day wear and an evening wear product. The colour range offers something to suit all ages and all skin types and if you didn't particularly want shiny lips then the lip colour can be worn on its own. Both the lip colour and the clear highlighter work on a twist mechanism, both are easy to apply.
I wanted to have the best of both worlds, a lip colour that I could wear during the day and then still be able to make look that little bit extra special for evening wear. I chose Cinnamon and sugar, it suited my natural skin tone and though the colour showed up well on my lips it didn't stand out like a sore thumb.
First of all you apply the layer of lip colour, I pre-moisturised my skin so that the colour wouldn't sink into any dry skin. The lip colour glides on very easily but once you have fully covered your lips with a thin layer they do feel slightly strange for a short while. The lip colour is matte, so when you put your lips together they don't feel as moist and supple as when you have just applied a layer of normal creamy lipstick. The matte colour feels far drier but you soon adapt to the feeling. The lip colour is intense, it almost stains your lips, I can see why Max Factor have said that the product is long lasting. So at this stage you have an intense colour that has semi-stained your lips, if you are happy with the end result then you can leave it at that. If you are planning an evening out then you can move on to the next stage, remove the cap of the highlighter and apply a layer of the sheeny substance on top of the layer of lip colour, this instantly adds sheen and in fact makes the lips feel very soft and well moisturised.
The layer of colour seems to stay in place far longer that the top layer of sheen, I had no need to top up the colour for the rest of the day but I did add another very light layer of highlighter. I was very pleased with my choice of colour, if I had to point out a small negative it would only be to say that the strong colour did end up working its way into the skin creases by the end of the day.
I used a make up remover pad to remove the lip colour, even after hours wear when I wiped the pad over the lip colour to remove it the pad was covered in colour. Of course the sheeny highlighter comes off easily but the lip colour takes a little bit more work to remove. Max Factor, a reputable company that provides us with top quality cosmetics, I can see that they have tried to offer us a dual purpose lip colour. I'm not too sure that I would wear the matte lip colour without using the highlighter, it doesn't seem to sit as comfortably on my lips. Use a small amount of sheen and the overall effect is very good. The Max Wear lip colour is priced at around £5.50 a time and I would be only too willing to try another colour from the range.
Advantages: Lasts, the packaging is good and it smells nice! Disadvantages: a lip liner is a must
As a bit of a Max Factor mkae up freak, I have to say how good their lipsticks are.
The colours are bright and they last for ages on your lips rather than on cups or on him!
They've got a really good range of colours and they're not that expensive when you compare them to the others on the market.
I started buying them because I liked the colour that my cousin wore when we went out and hers always lasted a lot longer than mine, I was always reapplying ...

...new products. I love the Max Factor adverts on TV - its always seems to be off a film set with actresses, the adverts are always so glamorous and they always appeal to me! I have always bought Max Factor products for their quality and appearance.
So I tried this lipstick last week, I bought it from Boots for around £6. This is my usual price for a lipstick as I prefer to spend a bit more for quality. It came with a free gift too of a Top Coat Gloss ... ...of the actresses on the Max Factor Ads!
Only one small down side to this product is that by the end of the evening when you take your makeup off before bed, my lips feel slightly dry. I overcome this anyway as I always apply a small dab of Vaseline along with my night cream.
As worn by me! - I would certainly recommend this lipstick! ...

Advantages: Stays put, good price Disadvantages: Quite matte
Max Factor's Stay put lip colour in Nutmeg is actually the first stay put lippy that i have tried and actually does as it says on the tube!
It comes in a long tube which goes on easily. The lipstick is a great colour and when on, it actually stays on! "Nutmeg" is a great medium brown colour that is very wearable. The lipstick is very matte when on though so moisturise before application. Because you dont have to keep re-applying it during the day, ...

Max Factor produce a really creamy lipstick that moisturises your lips more than any of the other products I've tried (maybe excluding Oil of Olay). They come in bright shades so you only need to apply a small amount of it and the colour lasts well. I unfortunately purchased a bright scarlet shade that is too strong for me so the lipstick mainly goes unused. That was in the days when I first tried buying make-up. I might rummage it out from the bottom ... ...As it is quite creamy you do need to use a neutral lip liner to prevent it from smudging around your mouth. I would though not hesitate at buying another lipstick by Max Factor. They are not the cheapest of brands but certainly do have the quality. ...

Advantages: Long lasting Disadvantages: Too long lasting
...Most of us experienced this - smudged lipstick around our face (wild kissing)...ugly marks on our drink glass... re-applying every 30 minutes because the color went off... What's the point of using anything on your lips if its gone after short time and you have to put a lot of effort to keep the effect?
We are now in a new "Generation of lazy" a society of inpatient girls. I have now found something really amazing. Lipfinity by MaxFactor which contains a lipstick with a moisturizing topcoat. It works like a real tattoo on your lips without making them dry.Generally it is really simple to use. First we put on the paint for lips and after 60 seconds the lips are ready for topcoat.
It doesnt last 12 hours (as we can read on the box) but be carefull when you are applying it - because it does last a long time. For example even after...

...MaxFactor Lipfinity lipsticks are my favourite. I have different colours but one of the colours I use more frequently is Spicy Seduisante which I find goes with most of what I wear. I find it is very easy to apply on the lips and I only need to touch it up alittle after several hours of applying it on. My lips feel great and moisterised after using the lipstick and it does prevent my lips in drying out in extreme temperatures. It is a handy size so it can be put in a handbag for when you need to use it.You can also see when you need to replace it as it is very visible with the clear container. You apply the colour coat first then you use the moisterising stick after that which will prevent your lips from drying out very clever idea to have this separate. The actual colour is like a dusky pink....

Advantages: Stays on for a long time.Comes along with an easy-to-use gloss stick.Long applicator for easy lip definition Disadvantages: Does n't come off easily. becomes quite dry without gloss.Quite costly.
...I was passing by Superdrug the other day and went in with no actual intention to buy any stuff. But then I am crazy about lipsticks and before I knew it my legs carried me to the aisle where the lipsticks are displayed. I tried innumerous colours on the back of my hand from different brands and before long the back of my hand started looking like it was badly mangled with lots of blood! Ha! But who cares! (Or at least that's what I thought then !!)
And then I saw something which caught my eye! It was MaxFactor's very sleek looking lipstick with that come-and-test-me look. And I did try the tester. And immediately went on a maddening spree! I liked almost all the ones that I tried but the one I chose finally was a deep red-brown lipstick-MaxFactor Lipfinity 108.
The sad part about this lipstick came when I tried to wipe it off...
