5 Stars Max Factor Pan Stik Review with images 07/10/2011

Advantages Advantages Looks natural and hides blemishes

Disadvantages Disadvantages None that I can think of

I love Max Factor makeup and I first discovered their 'Pan Stik' earlier this year. I can't believe it took me so long to discover this, I love it! It is such a high quality, practical and good value product and I can not really fault it. The Pan Stik is available from a range of different shops. I got mine from Boots but I have also seen it in Superdrug and similar types of shops which sell cosmetics, and it's also available online via Amazon, eBay and discount makeup sites. I paid £6.99 for mine which I think is a very reasonable price, and prices vary from around £5 to £8. The foundation is ... more

Advantages Advantages good coverage, blends well, skin feels velvety and soft

Disadvantages Disadvantages can't think of any!

Max Factor Pan Stik I read a review of Max Factor Pan Stik Foundation the other week and it sounded pretty good. I used to use a pan stick a few years back but it was discontinued, so I was glad to find a product that might replace the old one as I'm not too keen on liquid foundations on the whole but that is mostly all that's on the market to buy. So, I hopped onto ebay and treated myself to some pan stik. Packaging The foundation comes in the same kind of twist up tube as a lipstick or concealer would do, albeit a little fatter and flatter. The tube is a black colour with gold writing which ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to apply, relatively cheap, mess free

Disadvantages Disadvantages Comes off a bit too easily on contact with phones

I received my Max Factor Pan Stik last Christmas morning, as one of the presents that Santa left in my Christmas stocking! Apparently, Santa thought it would be an ideal substitute for a now-discontinued Maybelline product that I'd used in the past (the elves had obviously been busy doing their research last December as I hadn't dropped any hints on the subject) so I was happy to give it a try. Packaging and Design What I'd loved about the Maybelline product was the convenience and ease of use, so I was hoping for more of the same from the Max Factor Pan Stik. Unlike the other foundations in ... more

Advantages Advantages A good soft matt finish.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

I can remember using Pan stick make up years ago but then it was a much heavier facial product altogether, a few licks of the old Pan Stick and your skin set like a mask, it may have covered any skin imperfections but it looked very artificial. On the whole the foundation creams of today are light, airy and weightless, you can apply them and they look natural and if they are well applied then they don't leave any tide marks around your jaw or hairline. I have already bought a couple of cream foundations, both of them came in a small compact and can be applied using a brush or a sponge. One in ... more

Advantages Advantages Very creamy, extreme coverage

Disadvantages Disadvantages too much looks cakey

I was first introduced to the Max Factor Pan Stik by my best friend when I was just 18. I was staying at her mum's glamourous bachelorette pad in London, and we were trying on her make up in order to act out scenes from Abigails Party. Looking back, it sounds like we were behaving more like we were 8 than 18, but they were happy days..... When I first picked it up back then, I laughed out loud at the fact it was called Pan Stik - to me it sounded like some kind of 19th century slap-on make-up, and not something I ever thought would be for me. It was, as it is now, packaged in a small dark navy ... more
