I had a spare tenner and needed some new ... ...kept coming back to the Max Factor stand and after a lot of deliberation between whether to buy the compact version or the liquid version of the product I rather hurriedly decided on the latter. This was for two reasons, it was £9.50 in liquid form and £10.50 in compact form. But for the sake of Ciao and its readers hunger and thirst for reviews I wore it yesterday to give it a true test. Yes I looked a sickly pinky orange colour all day yesterday for you @ Ciao. I remember the occasion when I purchased it. I had a spare tenner and needed some new foundation. I went to Boots and had a really good browse through determined to get my money's worth. I kept coming back to the Max Factor stand and after a lot of deliberation between whether to buy the compact version or the liquid version of the product I rather hurriedly decided on the latter. This was for two reasons, it was £9.50 in liquid form and £10.50 in compact form. Also this was at about the same time I noticed the time and realising I had 3 minutes for the bus I grabbed which I thought would be the right shade for me. Its funny isnt it how the colour in the bottle doesnt seem to come out the way you think. So in my rush I thought I could save the last quid for bus fare! Wish I'd walked now. When I got it home I looked a bit closer.
☼ PACKAGING:
This foundation comes in an attractive bottle. It has a gold lid which the product stands on and a gold sloping end. These are sealed with a brighter gold band at each end. The main body bottle is clear enabling you to see the colour of the product supposedly. On the front it says 'MAX FACTOR facefinity, with permawear, long lasting make-up, SPF 15 and the shade I chose. Which was Natural Beige 009.' On the back the bottle has the words 'Apply it & forget about it. Oil free. It is a 35 ml bottle. There is a list of ingredients and the makers name and address. The compact I have seen is far more classier looking. In the same Gold colours it is oblong shaped. Inside divided in two one half pressed in a creamy powder, the other an oblong sponge applicator pad. In the lid is a mirror. Very useful. In future I will not be so tight and buy this version.
Now strangely Boots appear to have stopped stocking the shade I picked (009 Natural Beige). So have Max Factor themselves. Typical! I look like the tango lady for them to decide they don't like it either!
☼ MAX FACTOR CLAIMS:
On the official website of Max Factor the write up for this product says;
"Convenient and easy to use, Facefinity is a light foundation designed to give long lasting colour that won't fade throughout the day. It's so easy to use, simply apply it and then forget about it!. Make-up for all day colour. Feels light, moisturises the skin and provides a light, satin finish. SPF15, UVA/UVB protection. Oil and fragrance free."
☼ APPLICATION:
I opened the lid and immediately liked the pointed nozzle. It is small so you can control how much you are using. I sniffed at it. Its true there is no real smell to it at all. I squirted out a small amount onto my fingertips. It isnt greasy just creamy. It applies well to the skin with no dragging. The coverage is good, minor blemishes dissapear before your eyes. I won't go into too much detail of colour as I said I was disappointed with this shade. But the overall look was good. Smooth skin with no shine. It feels nice.
☼ SONIA PUTS IT TO THE TEST:
Yesterday when I put some on at 9.45am I then went out to watch my daughter playing U14's football. The wind was howling it rained, oh and they lost 2-0. I checked the mirror at mid-day when we got home it looked freshly applied I was suprised. I put out a bit of washing as the weather hd brightened..... smack a blue kingsize sheet decided to attack me when I was pegging it out. I checked the sheet as It was still wet cursing (as you do). No marks at all even more suprising.Then I went shopping after a bite to eat. The wind still howled but the rain had kept away and it was quite bright. Good for the washing i thought. I scowled as I tried to find a parking spot, grimaced as I got carved up by a boy racer. Mopped my fevered brow at the end of a harrowing trip. At home at around 4.00pm I checked out the mirror again. Bigger shock it was still there. Not as freshly applied but none the less still doing its job. I had a lazy evening tv and Ciao, but the last check at 10.00pm confirmed this product works. I took it off with my dove moisturising lotion and my skin felt fresh. So it lasted a good 12 hours!

Unfortunately I still have loads of this left. Only unfortunate as I picked the wrong shade. But I will buy some more and take more care with my selection. Does anybody want to buy a cheap bottle of Max Factor Facefinity.... hardly used but tried, tested and approved by me.
Advantages: long lasting, do not need much Disadvantages: little on expensive side

MAX FACTOR "FACEFINITY" with PERMAWEAR does just that. Its a bit pricey at £8.99 for 35ml, but it lasts ages. (I've had mine for 5 months already and its still half full). The one I use is 03 NATURAL, but they do come in different shades. (I suggest you use a tester to get the right shade for you). This PERMAWEAR makes it long lasting. It is oil free.
It comes in a plastic squeezy tube, with a gold twist top. The liquid is runny(and ... ...find a little amount will give you even coverage. There is no real smell to it. Once on there is no need to reapply. Its a make up that gives you confidence.
When I do wear make up, more than likely it will be for quite some time, and this foundation is one that I can leave at home knowing I will not need it later in the evening. It does not leave your face dry or greasy, which is great for myself as I sometimes have flaky patches of dry skin around ...

I have been using this Foundation for several months now.
I bought it at T.J Hughes, a local department store.
They sell it for £2.99 for a 35ml size.
In Boots I think it is about £6.00.
I do have sensitive skin and have to be careful on what I put on my face.
This foundation doesn't irritate at all so I have carried on using it.
It is for normal to dry skin and moisturises at the same time.
The colour Iam using is Creme Beige, that is quite ... ...doesn't make you look to done up, just nice and natural.
It gives a light coverage, there's nothing worse than looking like Coco the Clown.
The texture is slightly runny , but I apply it with a sponge and find it doesn't leave any lines as it blends in very well.
Afterwards your skin feels velvety to the touch.
The range comes in several colours, starting at the very lightest to people who need a darker finish.
It lasts all day and I don't need ...

Advantages: really does do what it claims to do Disadvantages: it is too pricey if you are on a budget
...and so go for the Max Factor 3-in-1 base for convenience, but I really would recommend this product if you want something that will stand up to a good night out, or indeed if you have to work long hours and never have time for a touch up.Best applied witj a sponge, rather than your fingers.
The test will come when the weather gets hotter, I will rewrite this review and let you know if it still stays on in the sun! To its advantage,though, the product ...

...that i have bought from max factor i have found that, yes the facfinity does last, very well but the palest shade was ghostlike on me and the shade down an unattractive orange. It was heavy and dry and accentuated dry patches on my skin, i think to get the best out of this product you need oily /normal skin with warmer terracota undertones. MaxFactor is one of my favourite companies, I must say. I was thoroughly pleased with their new foundation I tried, MaxFactor Colour adapt Foundation. I was delighted with the way it blended in! I was quite suprised, as one of my friends said it didn't work as well for her, me and my sister tried it, and it made us look like flawless stars! The colour was also very very nice, I mean first of all my friend asked me, "Ooh your skin looks so clear, what did you use? A facial mask?" and I laughed and replied, "No, I used MaxFactor's new foundation!" She was pretty suprised, and kept touching my face to see if I was joking or not. Thankfully, even though she kept touching it, it stayed on! Thanks MaxFactor!

I bought this when it first came out and was on special offer and have used this ever since. The foundation is packaged in a pot with a screw lid. Inside the screw lid is the sponge to apply the foundation with. It comes in several shades and I bought Natural 70 which matches my natural skin colour.
I have always applied foundation using my fingers and even though this comes with a sponge I have never used it and continue to apply foundation with my fingers. This foundation gave excellent coverage and a little really does go a long way. It feels light on my skin and I could build up the coverage but I don't really want the plastered on look and only use it where necessary. It lasts me until the end of my work day i.e. 9 - 5 and is easily washed off at the end of the day.
This is a little more expensive than other MaxFactor ...

Ok so I have already done an op on a maxfactor product
(maxfactor foundation), but this mascara does warrant an opinion.
I am talking about MAXFACTOR LASHFINITY. This is one amazing mascara.
I paid £8.99 for a 9ml bottle, which has been the most expensive mascara I have bought so far in the whole time I have been using makeup. (well a girl has to treat herself now and again.) I only wear black, can't get on with other colours.
The bottle is very slim, with a screw top (like most mascaras). The brush is very hard and the bristles are firm.
It is easy to apply and did make my lashes look lush, and I found that I never needed to touch it up at any time. But one downfall it does have is.... it takes ages to remove.
