Max Spielmann Photo-Processing Shops

My hubby and I didn't have luxuries at our wedding simply because we couldn't afford them. It was known that whoever turned up with a camera would show us the photograph's after and we would then decide if we wanted any copies. This was mainly going to be between my parents and my hubby's parents. After the wedding my mum & dad took the film to be developed at Jessop's with no problems whatsoever. This is a very touchy subject with me but I am sure you have already noticed that I am not a fan of this store as I have given it the lowest rating I have ever given any product so far in my reviews. From the outside it looks clean, inviting and professional with lots to offer. The inside is very small and more tahn one pram means that you will not be able to open the front door without an accident. They do takepassport photographs but you will have to share the back room with the cleaning ladies broom, mop ect. Don't get dressed up it's filthy in there! I worked at a few Max Speilmann shops, and the odd Klick (owned by the same company and run the same) over eight months, and there are a few things I've noticed during my time there that would be helpful to potential customers. - Staff are penalised for accepting 6x4 prints and will do anything to get you to upgrade to 7x5 (their 'standard') when you don't need to. They will tell you that they do not print 6x4s anymore - they do, just tell them that you know for a fact that they do and they will print them. - The photocentre in Birmingham to which they send any orders over a day is a mess ... more

Terrible customer service, the staff have no manners, are abrupt and ignorant. After trying to load my SD card the machine crash and i was actually spoken to like a child by a slip of a girl with tattoos and a mouth as foul as a fish wives, blaming me for crashing their photo machine. I wont go there again - simply not worth the hassle. The actual picture development results from the in store machines are not the best i have seen, but they are cheap and faster than sending away and so you get what you pay for i guess (its just a pity the staff are unhelpful and ignorant).
