Review of MAXDATA Pro 650T by  Boris

Advantages: Great repair service, Inclusive guarantee, Relatively cheap
Disadvantages: Dodgy port covers

...perhaps it should as the HDD approaches maximum capacity but I am reliably informed that this is to be expected. Construction This is where the Maxdata falls down in my estimation. It has loads of little plastic flaps overy port and socket. This flaps are just not designed to be opened closed very much. They are a bit flimsy and have a tendancy not to shut after a while. The screen which i often use for watching DVD films on is crystal clear in all respects both work and play. The laptop itself seems a little heavy but I believe that this has more to do with the fact it has a 15.1" screen that the way it has been designed Value for Money On comparison with prices paid by my friends the maxdata is one of the best value. For £1500 (August 2000 prices) I got all the features as noted before, 15.1" screen, inbuilt ethernet card (a... Read review

Review of MAXDATA Eco 4000 IW by  shaniafeng

Advantages: wide screen and very good customer service plus two years' warranty
Disadvantages: I have experienced systme crash for twice with this laptop

...I have been using this laptop for nearly two years, overall, it was very good value and I like the wide screen and keyboard, it's very easy to use and the look on this laptop is quite good; and there's quiet mode that helps to reduce noise from the laptop. However, I experienced twice of system crashes with this laptop, when I turned it on, it couldn't process to the windows xp. Fortunately, maxdata offers two years' warranty on this laptop, it is much longer than the warranty offered by other branded laptops, after I call the technical support team, my laptop was collected, repaired and then returned without charging me nothing, I got back my laptop in just 1-2 weeks. I am very satisfied with the customer service of maxdata.... Read review

Wow! 20.1" - Beautiful!
Review of Belinea 10 20 35W by  Radical-Machine

Advantages: Superb Picture - Well Made - Looks Gorgeous
Disadvantages: Heavy!

...giant screens to work on - one for arranging and one for mixing - perfect! So, what made me choose this monitor over the competition? Well, the Apple Cinema Displays are widely regarded as having the best picture quality, unfortunately they are simply way too far out of my price range. The 20" model is almost £600, double the price of this one. It's specs are stunning, however, and I made it a base for comparison, my benchmark that other choices should aspire to. I looked at many different models: ASUS, Dell, NEC, Philips, you name it, I checked it out! Then I found Belinea. A division of German based, MAXDATA, Belinea wasn't a natural lead to uncover in the flatpanel monitor market. Although they are apparently "market leaders" in their home Germany, I have only ever seen the brand on old, defunkt and small CRT monitors. However... Read review
