The head hugger is really great though for when your baby is tiny. It gives that extra comfort and support which a newborn needs. The head hugger stayed in our car seat until our baby was 5 months old. The padding around the rest of the seat is really sound comfortable but not so overly padded that it seems too soft and therefore not safe.

The look of the car seat depends on the type you buy. Maxi Cosi now make this car seat in a variety of colours from all black to green and grey, pink, blue all sorts! But whatever colour you choose you can still see it's a Maxi Cosi as it looks stylish and comfortable.
The seat clips directly into the base and it's really easy to do. You simply slot it onto the base and the green window in the base will appear to let you know it is in the correct position. To take the seat out all you have to do is pull a handle on the base and then you lift the seat out! simple! There is no need to fiddle around with undoing seatbelts and what not like with other car seats,
This car seat has the ability to then be attached onto a set of wheels. It is compatible with the Quinny and the Luna as well as Maxi cosi wheels and some others. this makes it easy to transport the baby instead of having to take them out of the seat you just have to put them straight onto the wheels and away you go! No messing around with taking baby in and out of different seats which saves time and energy as well as not disrupting your baby.
The carrying handle is a nice size so it fits in your hand, it isn't too bulky or too narrow. This handle can be folded back by pressing down the buttons and folding it back on itself. Behind the seat is a sun sheild which can be pulled out and attached to the handle so as to work as a sun sheild which is a really great idea! As well as a sun shield the car seat has a waterproof which fits around it and has a little window in the top so you can reach in and check your baby. This is really easy to fit, it simply covers the seat like a bubble and has always been really easy to use and fits well so our baby is always kept dry and warm.
At the back of the seat is a cunning little hidey hole! There is a little handle which you pull down and shows a hidden section where you can store a nappy or two which is always useful!
The seatbelt easily fastens. It has two straps which come down past the baby's shoulders and then join together before clipping into the socket which is protected with padding so that it makes it ultra comfortable for the baby. At the top of the seat belts are padded seat belt cushions which can easily be removed for cleaning especially as these tend to somehow find their way into the baby's mouth! The seatbelt also extends so you can make it loose as you fasten the baby in and then just press the button to pull the remaining belt back so that your baby is nicely secure.
The seat is quite easy to clean. A hoover will easily rid all the crumbs and a warm soapy sponge should see to the rest althouh the material is raised in areas and so it' shard to get all the bits out of the smaller spaces. Our car seat has survived 7 months so far and still looks as good as new despite various accidents (of the baby variety and not of car crashes!)
The seat is suitable from birth, the head hugger makes even the tiniest newborn safe and secure. It is recommended to be used up until the baby is 20lb so approximately 9 months old which is way more than other car seats which usually go up to 6 months.
The car seat cost £120 from Toys R Us and is available widely from lots of other stores including mothercare, john lewis' and online stores like kiddiecare.
I think that it has been worth every penny as it's always important to think safety first and this is one of the best on the market. It's comfortable, it's easy to use and it's extremely practical.
I suppose the only negative is that it is very heavy. All car seats are heavy though so it's no heavier than any other one on the market but it does mean that once your baby is in as well it can be very heavy to carry around which can be difficult if you are suffering a bad back or recovering from birth but this, like i say, seems to be universal to all car seats.

Like most other expectant mums, I was completely bewildered by the selection of car seats on the market before my little boy was born. In the end I chose the Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat as I felt it was the safest on the market and compatible with the icandy pushchair I had chosen. I am thrilled with my choice, it has been worth every penny.
My baby was only 5lb 11oz when born and although he was tiny, I felt he was very safe in this seat. It is very ... ...little boy absolutely loves this seat as it is really comfortable for him. He is now 6 months old and he was only ever cried twice in the car - he usually falls alseep within a couple of minutes! I have been known to take him round the block to calm him down. If he is awake in the seat and it is on a hard floor (say in a shop) he loves rocking himself backwards and forwards and there is a built-in sun canope which attaches to the handle - very handy ...

We bought the Maxi-Cosi carseat to use with our Quinny Zapp travel system - lucky for us as otherwise we probably wouldn't have looked at it!
Initially this carseat seemed more expensive than some others, but as soon as we investigated in the shops I could certainly see why. It seems to be a higher quality than other, cheaper carseats on the market, with an interesting design that I've never seen elsewhere.
There is no assembly or fiddling required ... ...home is have a browse through the instructions, then off you go! Fixing the carseat into your vehicle using a seatbelt is very easy - I tend to be very easily confused (embarrassing but true) but even I find this very straightforward and obvious. The seat comes complete with a cushion insert so that younger babies can lie in a more horizontal position; much more comfortable for your little ones than having to sit further upright, where little heads ...

This car seat is readily available. You can buy it from all the shops you'd expect to be able to buy them from including Halfords, mothercare, john lewis', toys r us etc.
What do they cost:
prices vary depending up on offers and stores but usually this car seat retails at £100.
How do they attach?
This car seat is different to many of the others on the market. It clips onto a base which is attached to your car, This makes it easy ... ...car without waking up the baby. The car seat base is attached by the seat belt securing it in place and a metal leg which keeps it stable.
Are they comfortable?
This car seat is very padded and so a nice cosy seat for your baby. It comes with a head hugger which makes it cosy and safe for a newborn. This headhugger can be removed revealing much more space so your baby can fit in the seat for longer. They are a nice shape, I've seen some car seats ...

I bought this when I had my baby as it was apparently the best on the market and I really can't find fault with it at all it has been the most reliable of our baby products and can't rate it highly enough.
This car seat is different from others as it is suitable for up to 9 months whilst the majority of others are just up to 6 months.
The seat is well padded and has a 'head hugger' so it is safer for newborns. This headhugger can then be removed ... ...be adjusted once your baby grows so that it is still safe and comfortable. The straps are easy to use- at first they were fiddly but once you have the hang of them then you know what you're doing they're easy! once you have strapped your baby in you then pull on the straps to make them tight so that your baby is safetly in place- sometimes if your baby has lots of layers on you need more slack so this is a really good feature to get the straps taught.

and manouvrebility simply because of the three wheel design with swivel front wheel. I can spin the buggy rightround with one hand with my toddler in it whereas I found even steering the four wheel types awkward with one hand, never mind spinning them!
The problem I had lifting the buggy into the luggage compartment of the bus was solved by the fact that the Zapp folds up much smaller than the four wheel umbrella style buggies. Even though it doesn't weigh any less the shortness of the folded up Zapp meant I didn't have to lift it as high with one hand, thereby reducing the effort required.
The Quinny Zapp has the added advantage of converting to a travel system with the MaxiCosiCabriocarseat, so I'll be able to use it for my new baby and am confident i'll be able to steer with one hand while holding my toddler's hand. It is also quick ...

We had to buy a buggy for our first child and we were and the Quinny Speedi 3 Wheeler was recommended to us.
I didn’t have much experience with buggies or children come to that when I needed to buy a buggy, so all the help know-how and recommendations were gladly accepted.
DESCRIPTION
The buggy is a three wheeled forward facing pushchair, giving good maneuverabllitiy all round especially as the front wheel that rotates 360 degrees.
There is also an option to fixt he front wheel in place depending on what you want, the buggy is constructed of a lightweight aluminum frame that can be folded easily.
There is an adjustable foot/back rest with a basket that can be adjusted in size, to give extra virsititlity when out and about.
When buying the buggy we also got with the buggy the maxi-cosicabriocar seat (at extra cost), we ...
Advantages: Light, good design, space saving, easy to drive Disadvantages: hard to drive on some surfaces, no storage for bags etc.
The main reason we bought a Quinny Zapp was because we live in a small cottage and space is a real premium. We also liked the deign features of the Zapp namely its ability to turn into a travel system with the use of the MaxiCosiCabrioseat (sold separately for about £80). Basically for the first few months you can use this seat on the Zapp and in your car. It's very easy to swap the seat from the Zapp to the car and in my opinion is a very practical solution if space is a problem.
Now that our baby is older we use the Zapp as a pram. What I like about the Zapp is that it's easy to drive, move and fold up and down. The Zapp moves well on most surfaces but because it has small solid wheels its not too good on soft ground. A real bonus of the Zapps size is its ability to navigate when you're out shopping.
