I bought this seat as it was at the time Which Magazine's most recommended. On this occasion I think they got it wrong. The seat is easy to install, and the extra tensioners on the installation straps do make it the most stable seat I have seen without Isofix. However the much vaunted safety tensioners on the child's straps are an absolute nightmare, and can be in my opinion dangerous. The traffic light indicator turns green when the bottom section of strap is tight, but this can easily and frequently happen when there is still slack in the upper section, meaning the child is not secured properly. For anyone not as familiar with the seat, for example grandparents, it gives a very misleading sign. They are also very hard to loosen off again while thechild is in the seat meaning getting the child out is hard. Howvere, the mechanism by which the straps retract sideways is fantastic, and does make life easier. The seat is on a very high base which is great when baby first transfers to this class, as it gives them a much better view. However, unless your car has a very high roof, this becomes a nightmare as your child grows, as they are really too high up. They easily bang their heads when getting in, and you are having to reach up under the door opening. I found this to be very expensive at the time compared to others in its class, but purchased it because of the good reports I read. I would not consider buying one again.

Advantages: Good Quality, sturdy, comfortable, looks great, and very easy to use. Disadvantages: Harness can spring open quickly - can startle child if sleeping whilst being taken out.
