Advantages Advantages Noticeable results in short space of time. Taste is ok. Mixes easily.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite expensive.

I have been using Maximuscle Cyclone now for 6 months and the results are very noticable. I drink one shake at 11am period to a 12.30pm gym session. I do not have one in the afternoon because it is quite expensive and because I use a 'recovery' product in the afternoons. As a serving military person, I have to maintain a high level of fitness. I use Cyclone specifically for the strength training aspect. In the past, I have tried other brands but have always come back to maximuscle. I find that it mixes very well with a 'shaker' but not so well simply with a fork or spoon. There is always ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to take, straight forwar instructions, fast results

Disadvantages Disadvantages May need to buy two tubs to sustain an 8 week cycle

This particular product has stood out to me, and eventually became the best supplement that i have used in 6 years. Having taken all kinds of supplements in the past, including (cyto gainer, EAS whey protein, and even the Maximuscle product "promax") this particular one allows the recovery of the damaged muscle, the perfect, calibrated intake of protein when going to work out and also is very easy to take unlike some of the others. My sport, Gaelic Football, has a combined mixtured of aerobic work as well as gym work, cardiovascular etc, and in the off season it requires alot of bulking up ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick solid gains, no bloating, convenient to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, taste is not great

MAXIMUSCLE CYCLONE This was the first 'mainstream' supplement I purchased after a small time gaining experience with cheaper brands. There were several key differences, first being the immediate effect it had on my workouts. I put this down to the creatine, but the protein content per serving (30g) is definitely high enough to cater for someone with specific requirements. The taste is ok, I've tried mostly every flavour and it goes down easily enough but can sometimes be slightly bitter, again something I put down to the creatine. As a convenience it cannot be faulted. The powder is not dusty ... more

Advantages Advantages It does exactly what it says on the tub

Disadvantages Disadvantages maybe a bit expensive

I first started weigh training when I was at sixth form. After school each day me and my mates would all go down to the local gym and start trying to get big. Now back then I didn’t know what I know now about the influence that good nutrition has on building muscle and increasing performance so it wouldn’t surprise you that I was against protein shakes and supplements of any kind, as were all my friends. However when I started university I was away from home for the first time and had control over what I ate, reading Men’s Health Magazine and taking advice on what I should be eating to be as ... more
