I tried Promax Extreme after a friend recommended it to me. Previously I had been using cyclone and getting some great results but I also wanted to get more ripped and lower my fat percentage a bit more. So from further recommendation from the Maximuslce website I decided to give it a go. Now maybe I was expecting a bit much of it, maybe I was expecting the extreme to mean extreme results. Well it sort of did but not in the way you might think. It was more extreme disappointment, I wanted to like it I really did just because it promised so much and made sense. Having a low level of carbs and high protein made me think I’m getting everything my body needs without any extra calories so I could loose fat and gain muscle. The fact was that I did loose weight, my body fat percentage went down from 15% to 14% whilst I was taking it but I think this was more to do with my diet and the increased amount of cardio I was doing. As for gains in performance I can’t say I found there was any I felt as though I was just staying the same it certainly didn’t give me the last boost of energy that I used to get from when I was using cyclone. I’m not one for moaning about the taste of protein shakes because if it did the job then I’d drink just about anything, but this stuff really did lack in the taste department. Now some people out there really might find that Promax Extreme works for them and that’s great that they have found a product they can trust in but for me I just don’t understand it. Cyclone is cheaper, you get better results and it taste better so why bother with the Promax? Knowing what I know now if I wanted to gain muscle and loose fat I’d forget bout the extra calories that the cyclone has in it I wouldn’t let it bother me one bit id simply take it anyway and change my diet around it, or do an extra 20 minutes on the treadmill if it bothered me that much. That way I’d at least be able to gain some performance and muscle gain whilst trying to loose fat. Overall I have a lot of confidence in Maximuscle products but was left disappointed with Promax Extreme and left me wondering if it was actually any more extreme than just ordinary Promax.
