ok, so im a skinny guy. i do a lot of aerobic training such as swimming and running (tri-athlons). so obviously gaining weight as muscle will be hard for me. ive been taking these shakes for just over two months now and can just about notice a difference in my body shape and size however the scales seem to tell me that ive gained around 1 or 2 lb only. miserable i know. ive been using this product along with a large daily intake of solid foods, 4 ... ...of time to eat. these shakes have done very little to help improve my weight and size as i would have expected to see a slight change in shape with just exercise.
however i will continue with my trial as i may be giving the product a hard time for the short period of time ive been using them, and will write another review in the near future with more details.

I have had Maximuscle Promax on and off for 3 years now and I am still indifferent to it. One of the pros is that the taste is good, as with most Maximuscle products. It's also very convenient, in that it mixes instantly and doesn't evoke the gag reflex, as some supplements have been known to do. I found the strawberry one to be the most pleasant, although every flavour is decent enough for experimentation purposes.
Also, if you're ... ...to give it extra protein this is a good choice. In my experience it does not have the filling effects that some proteins do, which can be beneficial if you have a meal, barbeque etc. to attend.
On the downside, there are definitely other proteins on the market that deliver more grams for your money. It certainly does nothing that other proteins don't do (see USN Pure Protein, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey). The tubs don't last half as long ...

...definitely recommend buying directly from maximuscle themselves and I would expect that the first order would probably include the free shaker/drink container as our first order did. I would not recommend trying to mix it in a glass because it is difficult to get rid of the lumps. When you use the shaker there aren't any lumps at all. As far as flavours go my son and his friend who also uses the product both prefer strawberry or chocolate, with vanilla ... ...are also available but as yet he has not tried them yet. This particular product was recommended to my son by a long term gym member who has experienced these type of products over the years and found this one to be the most effective and pure. I am not massive fan of maximuscle products, however promax diet is definitely one of the better ones! It is designed to deliver protein to those with high requirements in a low-calorie form, which makes it brilliantly convenient to those with a busy lifestyle, who normally don't have the time to whip up something healthy.
The taste is also good, especially vanilla, which is nice enough to be enjoyed but not obtrusive enough to evoke the gag reflex. It mixes well, though not as well as other maximuscle poducts but there are no real problems. You may get a bit stuck in the shaker now and again.
