Advantages: very cheap for its size, under 30p a GB Disadvantages: Slower than SATA
this hard drive is very good value for money at under 30p per gigabyte. its easy to install for anyone who knows at least a little about the inside of computers. i have found that this drive works best as a slave drive (not the drive with the operating system on) and is very reliable at storing masses of data. i have yet to experience a single problem with this drive and i have had it for almost a year now. it doesn't show any noticable performance ... ...the amount of data on the drive also doesn't affect it in any noticable way.
you don't need to enable anything in the BIOS after instalation. to format the drive go into control panels, then into administrative tools, then computer management, then storage, then disc management. right click on the new drive and format. easy as that. ...
