I must have tried millions of mascaras over the years - always searching for the perfect one! One of the biggest problems that I have is that most makeup gives me allergic reactions severe enough that I end up looking all blotchy and resembling the bride of Frankenstein.
This particular mascara is one that I came across in Tescos and was immediately attracted by the pink so just brought it without any real consideration! It was just under £5 in Tescos and seems to be a similar price in Boots and other cosmetic selling places although in cheapy places like superdrug it is ridiculously cheap at around £3!!!
My main criteria for a mascara that I can get along with are that it must not cause me an allergic reaction, that it must be black (preferably very black!), it must be bold and it must not clump or flake. Fortunately this mascara seems to meet all of these criteria. The first thing that impresses me about this product is its appearance. It comes in an attractive pink and green packaging which makes it easy to find in the bottom of my handbag or if its chucked somewhere in my messy bedroom!
When you apply the mascara it is certainly in the very black class of mascaras. It uses a normal mascara brush wand which is easy to use and isn't too smothered in the actual mascara. One swipe onto your lashes immediately gives a very black, lengthened and increased volume look. I like my mascara to look quite heavy (although not like a drag queen lol!) so this is ideal as two coats of the mascara gives a clump-free, bold, quite dramatic look. Although I could love longer eyelashes this is certainly the closest I can get to my desired look in terms of my lashes!
I wear the mascara all day long and it stays looking glamorous and does not flake or irritate my eyes. If I am tired and rub my eyes it stays put yet is easy enough to remove with my cheapy makeup removing wipes! Obviously its not a waterproof brand but I have found it to be pretty resistant to tears and rain (ooooh it feels like I'm breaking into a James Blunt song!!)
I have also found that the mascara is bold enough for evening and party wear but is still suitable for wearing during the day. Although if you want a more subtle look then this may not be the one for you as it is hard to get a look that isn't bold and dramatic. However, being a trainee teacher I rely on my scary teacher stare about nine hundred times a day to stop children doing naughty things so having a product that draws attention to my eyes is useful!
Therefore to summarise I would definitely recommend this mascara if you like quite a bold look. In my makeup bag I currently have eight different mascaras to hand yet this particular one is the one that I reach for every morning. To me the most significant thing is that I can wear it all day long without the slightest allergic reaction which is fantastic and on top of that it gives the effect of volume, length and boldness without clumps or flakes. It is also easy to apply and must be good quality seeing as my eyes are not swelling up as they do with most products. As I mentioned above - the only potential negatives of this product are that it is hard to get a discrete effect. This product has lasted me a good few months of daily use and is beginning to run out so I will definitely be buying another one. It is great value for money as it seems to be one of the cheaper mascaras around so I definitely recommend it!

I love the coverage this stuff gives and it certainly never clumps....but unfortunately it tends to melt and smudge on me and I always end up with black patches under my eyes. Such a shame as it ticks all the other boxes for me, Lexy

For the price I haven't yet found a mascara that can beat this and since I'm not generally especially fussy about mascaras its my mascara of choice!
