i decided to buy this mascara after i seen it on a televison advert . i thought the product looked neew & exciting as the colours of the advert were bright and colourful . i then when to my local boots store to buy this product , and it wasn't over priced like i thought it would be so i snapped it up incase they had made a mistake !! i then took it home and did'nt use it for a few days as i was keeping it for an uncomming night out with friends. then i used it ! it was a brilliant mascarra ! no clumps like usual brands , makes the eyelashes longer & looks like fake eyelashes to be honest , all my friends commented about how nice my eyes looked and would definetly recomend this product !! and its lasted me ages ! take it everywhere with me and i use it every single day. ...
Advantages: Great for big bold lashes, 50's glam. Disadvantages: If you've used lash discovery this will never measure up.
First i should say that this is a review for the actual product and not the advert as it indicates above, im sure the advert is lovely, however i havent seen it, that could make reviewing it a tad tricky.
Ive use maybellinemascara for years now but until now have been a "lash discovery" girl, i loved the mini brush and never had a problem with it, unfortunately i cant find it anymore so guess its out of production. Anyway having come to the end of my "lash discovery" i needed a replacemnet, after alot of searching and rejecting types because their brushes were too thick i decided to try "lashstylist" with the hopes that the comb would have a similar effect as the mini brush.
I chose the black version in waterproof, i would have preffered brown but that wasnt available in the water proof option at the time of purchase ...
Advantages: great covergae, does what it's supposed to!!! Disadvantages: clumps easily, pulls out your eyelashes!!!
I used this product for a few months......that is until i found i was loosing eyelashes at an alarming rate!!! So what is this product like. Well with the glamorous tv adverts showing models with super thick, gorgeous eyelashes, you would expect the bees knees eh?!!! mmm maybe-lline not!!!!
THE PACKAGING
well it look like any other mascara you would see. It's black and it has it's name in blue metallic writing. Yeah it looks good and is smart, but not very eye catching to say the least.
THE BRUSH
The "brush" with this product isn't really a brush. It is in fact a comb. I wasn't too sure about this at first, but to be fair it is very effective.
THE EFFECT
Well the comb is very good on the coverage side of things. It gets every single lash, even the tiniest of ones, that are normally impossibe to get with a normal brush ...
