*** Why This Product *** As a mascara virgin, I ventured out and bought this product after a couple of make over sessions I had had recently. Now, I'm not really a fan of mascara and find it really difficult to apply, however, since receiving a few useful hints, tips and pointers to direct me away from the path where I'm going wrong, I felt comfortable enough to go out and buy a mascara of my own, especially after experiencing the devastating effect it has on the opposite sex with my new found shimmer eyeshadow.
The reason I picked this particular product is mainly due to the advert. It was a toss up between the eyes of a geisha and the eyes of the most stunning women in ads at the moment. The stunning woman one. I liked the fact that the eyelashes were made to appear few in number compared to the spiky effect offered by Max Factor's latest unveiling. I figured that because I was likely to clump my eyelashes together anyway, I was better off using the product that gives you the effect of having fewer.
*** So What Did I Think Of It *** I thought it was absolute genius. I found the mascara quite quick and easy to apply for the most part but did find fault with it when it came to hard to reach corners. The V-shaped brush does exactly what it's meant to do in regards to catching every last lash, but that is provided that you can angle the tough bristled brush in that awkward way. I had a 10% off voucher for Superdrug and so got a slight reduction off the usual £6.99 RRP. The effects are as close to the TV advertisement as you could possibly get with the only real difference there being that your lashes don't look quite so thick at the base/ roots as the illusion in the advertisement would suggest, but they are equally as sculptured. I was really proud of the effects and found that it has really proved my self-esteem when in company as my eyes now have a sexy, smoky, defined look about them that seem to focus and hone in on whoever they have ensnared.
*** Minor Info *** As mentioned, I purchased my 6.5ml tube for £6.99 from Superdrug, places like Tesco or Boots might vary slightly either way. I have seen the product available in black and brown, but as good as it is, hopefully we'll see some other colours in the future since that seems to be another rising trend…
NB. Please ignore the ratings for the most part as for some reason this appears listed as an ad, not as an actual product as such.
