I have not left the house without mascara on since I was about 12! Having fair hair and body hair, my lashes are blonde and I hate not having them defined. I believe I look very strange without it, so my dependence on mascara started young.
Since I got older and started earning my own money I've been able to experiment more with different mascaras, cheaper was all I could manage before.
I have used Maybelline for many years and have faith in the brand, especially when it comes to mascara. I LOVED Maybelline's "Full and soft" mascara and still rate it as the best mascara ever. Since they appear to have stopped making it and I haven't ordered any from America in a while. I thought I'd give "lash Stylist" a go. I must say, I haven't been too disappointed.
Availability --------------
You can buy the mascara from most chemists / supermarkets / make up counters. It retails for about £6.99 and comes in a plastic blister pack with a cardboard back, detailing information on the product.
Appearance ----------------
The tube itself is quite large and slightly rounded. Which I like as it makes finding it in my makeup bag easier, and being my most relied upon item, this is essential to me. It holds 6.5ml of mascara and has silver writing stating it is a "volume life comb mascara" and the one I have is "very black"
I haven't used comb mascara before and was surprised how small the actual comb was. It consists of 2 rows of small teeth that are at a slight V angle so not parallel to each other. It suggests on the package that for best results to apply the mascara from root to tip evenly.
First Application --------------------- I had being scraping the bottom of my old mascara for a bit longer than I should have before I tried my new lash stylist, so I think this added to how impressed I was, as I had been used to a running out old mascara for a while.
Lash Stylist was easy to apply and immediately I was amazed by the full lashes I had been presented with in the mirror. I have quite long lashes naturally and found this mascara enhanced this, showing them off as well as coating in a even spread of colour. I did not noticed any volume enhancement but the length of my lashes were defined and maximised.
The comb was clump free and applied a good even amount to my lashes, without clums on the lashes either.
Continued Use --------------------
I have had this mascara know for probably nearing 6 months. I really should throw it out and get a new one. It has lasted well, although, as with all mascaras the older it gets, the more clumpy the comb has become over time, and it is starting to effect the application.
It has only started to become this way the last few weeks, and I have not had any issues with it until then. I wear it daily and I feel it has lasted very well indeed. Its performance has not changed a lot at all.
Conclusion --------------
A good mascara that gives a great lash look. I will probably not be buying this one again, but not due to any reason other than me wanting to try and find if there is something better. I thinks its good value at £6.99

...All the reviews on this item seem to be under the TV section. I do not think the product is on here separately for some reason! Weird I know...I'll have a look if I can move it! Thanks x
