I wondered if there was a better mascara on the market that would make my eyelashes look even better, so I read a few reviews on Ciao and decided to try Maybelline Sky High Curves Mascara.
It promised lots of things but unfortunately didn't live up to any of them. No curl, no extreme lengthening and somewhat overpriced for the rubbish you are getting.
BRIEF BACKGROUND TO MAYBELLINE

THE PACKAGING
The mascara comes on a piece of card that is blue and grey, the colours associated with Maybelline. They put a lot of information on the front and back. Sky High Curves Mascara claims to give you 'Extreme Length and Curl'. It is meant to visibly lengthen lashes up to 30 degrees.
The small print on the back tells you that it is contact lens safe and hypoallergenic, which means it is safe for sensitive eyes.
THE BOTTLE
The bottle itself is only 3 and a half inches long, including the lid it is approximately 6 inches long. The bottle is thinner than the usual brand i use, and the lid goes out ever so slightly. The design on the bottle is ever so simple. It is dark blue with silver writing. It only says 'Sky High Curves...extreme lengthen and curl mascara', thats it.
PRICE
Boots are currently selling this Mascara for £5.49, but I decided to look on ebay and I got it for £3.50 plus £1.00 postage so I saved £1.00, which I'm glad I did. For me this is quite an expensive mascara, compared to what I'm used to paying.
APPLICATION/EASE OF USE
This mascara is easy to put on. The brush is called a 'length and curl' brush. It is just a straight brush, no fancy curves or anything. When you take the brush out of the bottle there doesnt seem to be much mascara on the brush, because there isn't. When you run the brush over your lashes not much mascara goes on. If you want a subtle look this is ok, but if you want your eyelashes to stand out then its pretty rubbish. With a good few coats it actually starts to look like you are wearing mascara. I wouldn't advise letting the coats dry in between because it doesn't produce a good look.
THE 30 DEGREE CURVE I WAS PROMISED
Well, this is another false promise. I didn't notice any curl at all. This may be because of the straight brush.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
I've been wearing this mascara for about 5 hours now and its starting to look quite bad. The mascara looks almost crumbly on my eye lashes. So, not really ideal if you want to keep looking your best all day.
COLOUR/WATERPROOF
The mascara is available in Very Black and Brown. I think you need a black one for it to show up on your eyes. Also available in waterproof, which i think would be better. This mascara would probably be ok if you want to wear mascara swimming but not look like you've made an effort.
REMOVAL
Quite easy to take off using Johnsons facial cleansing wipe, but they say soap and water will work, I wouldn't hold my breath though.
OVERALL
Does not live up to the expectations I had. Doesn't do anything it claims to do, and is overpriced for what it is. I do not recommend this mascara at all! I'm going to stick to what I know in future.

Maybelline is a brand recognised all over Europe and the USA, albeit under several different names. I have used their products before and largely find them to be very good, although I think sparkly lipsticks are for kids... ahem. I would certainly trust their excellent reputation as makers of the world's most purchased mascara (Great Lash, in case you haven't read the beauty columns). I chose this particular one from ... ...a Maybelline product would probably be worth the price (£6.99 in Boots for me).
The mascara comes in a sky-blue tube about six inches long, with a slightly bulbous lid - can't think of a better way of putting it. It's clearly marked with "sky high curves" in dark blue writing, and the description "Extreme Length and Curl Mascara" curves upwards to further underline the point. The packaging around the tube did mention that it was safe for contact ...

...can I tell you about Maybelline Sky High Curves Mascara? Do those adverts really tell the truth? Did I get then extension look of false eyelashes ? The TV advertisment claims;
'Maybelline Sky High Curves Mascara will lengthen your lashes "to the extreme" and give them a 30-degree curve.'
This was my first ever Mascara by Maybelline that I had purchased about 6 weeks ago. I paid £6.99 from Boots. ☼ The Product:
This Mascara comes in a round ... ...with Silver writing. It says; Maybelline in small letters at the top and across the length of the bottle is Sky High Curves, Extreme Length and Curl Mascara.On top of the lid is a silver plastic dome shape. Upon opening the bottle the smell is the same as any mascara non too pleasant. To be honest the brush doesnt look special. You get 0.27 fl oz or 8ml of this mascara in a bottle. The colours available are Black and Brown.

...there own /have owned a Maybelline Great Lash mascara? I bet quite a few! Like so many others I love the original Maybellinge mascara, and keep trying their new products. Looking for a lenthening/thickening mascara for use primarelly on small stages and maybe for the odd night out I tried the Sky High Curves mascara by Maybelline.
Maybelline claim that their mascara will lengthen and thicken your lashed without causing any damage. The flexible polymers ... ...stretches and moulds to the lashes for extreme length and curl, at the same time as a lightweight formula, enriched with conditioning and softening properties, keeps lashes flexible and healthy. Also, the brush is specially created to bend and curl the lashes.
So how much of this works in reallity?
The mascara does definatelly make a big difference to your eyes. The lashes are easilly seperated from each other, and the formula is thin and easy ...

i used the waterproof version of this and was truly truly amazed!!
usually i have a mascara for the evening to lengthen etc, and wear a waterproof one during the day. however this mascara allows me to have the length and curl i want for lovly eyes AND gives the practicallity of a waterproof mascara during the day!
i have quite short eyelashes but this mascara adds so much length that people actually commented on my 'lovly long lashes'!!
it goes ... ...bush has nice long bristles which means that it coats the lashes evenly its even easy to get those lashes at the corner of the eye.
its brilliantly waterproof, i wore this on holiday and was confident to wear it for swimming and sunbathing - thats how reliable this is!
its really good value for money, and i'm sure i'm not the only one who has tried dozens of mascaras only to be annoyed (and out of pocket!) when they dont have the effects that we ...

...have finally found the wonderful Maybelline Sky High Curves Mascara!
This in my opinion is the best mascara on the market and i will never use anything else as regular as i use this. Yes i may try different brands but purely for market research as i am very gullible and will try anything new. As always you can never beat black mascara for the dramatic look. Ok brown is fine for the natural look but whats the point in wearing make-up unless you want ... ...applied the first coat of this mascara i was hooked and find myself staring into mirrors (not because im vain
!) because i cannot believe the change in my whole face that this mascara gives.
My eyes are quite small and lack definition but as soon as i apply two coats of this fantasticly brilliant product i am transformed into a wide eyed, long lashed woman. I feel more feminine and flutter my eyelashes at anyone who comes my way. I have never received ...
