So that was nearly 15 years ago and Maybelline is still my no 1 cosmetic products.

And only 9 years ago Maybelline NY finally hit ground in UK. Today Maybeline covers face, eyes, lips, nails. And cosmetic range is HUGE!

There are lots of reviews about Maybelline products but today I will launch first review about newest member of Maybelline make-up family. Maybelline NY Superstay silky foundation

MAYBELLINE NEW YORK SUPERSTAY SILKY FOUNDATION:

Its only week ago when I saw newest Maybelline commercial in telly and they got me, AGAIN.
I think that's only company who really got me big times. They can sell anything for me, you name it, I got it.

Anyway very next day I found my self in local Boots looking this amazing new foundation. I remember thinking while bronzing all those products in shells that commercial I saw. There was gorgeous young woman, actually she is Maybelline New York's top model Texas born Erin Wasson. A beautiful woman. In commercial she add this new foundation on (ready make up, well I think!!) her (perfect) face and like magic her face look even more perfect. And now I in my 30's buying that same miracle product to look perfect. So back to Boots, I found right product I came for. And then I start struggle... colour.

Colour range:

Like other Maybelline New York foundations, new Superstay Silky Foundation got same colour range that everyone else as well, so normally it's easy to found right for you. You can found perfect colour for you from six shades. I have list colours here starting lighter and ending for darkest.
- Ivory
- Cameo
- Nude
- Sand
- Fawn
- Caramel

I remember that I used Cameo, but couple years ago Maybelline start using colour numbers instead of names so I was not sure is number I use now cameo or not so luckily there was test products for help me. First bottle was covered in foundation that I didn't even dare to touch bottle. Next one was nude, ouch… way too dark for me. So I look Cameo and gently press bottle to get small amount foundation on my palm. It decipher and mach with my skin colour perfectly. I found right colour, Cameo.

What is promise to do:

Bran new Maybelline New York foundation Superstay Silky Foundation promise to make your face feel soft and silky lasting up 16 hours. And that's lots for foundation what is silky. Because normally silky mean natural not matte look and if this product says it's silky, I do have my doubts about saying perfect up 16 hrs. Yes, even I have use Maybelline years and years; I still don't think that all their products are good. Maybeline instead is so sure that foundation will stay up to 16 hrs by giving money back guarantee. So I have to test this. I come back for testing later on this review. And even it has silky extender with it promise that shade in pack is shade in face.

Price:

I bought this foundation in Boots. They had, as always, it in special price. They always got special prices for new Maybelline products and that excellent opportunity for anyone to test new products. So back for price. I paid just over 5 pound, normal price was little pit less than 10 pound. That quite lots, because normally Maybelline foundations are around 8 pounds.

Bottle:

Maybelline New York Superstay Silky Foundation is bit bigger bottle that other foundation bottles. That's because it have dual chamber dispenser combines two formulas: colour coverage and extender to make that silky feel. Its 10 cm (4 inch) x 4,5cm (1,8 inch). It had see true packet and you can see two combines, one dark (colour) and other one in right side white. It has seen true cork and inside noses', well actually two noses' (one for colour and other one to silky extender) luckily there is only one press button. (I was first thinking that there mite be two pumps like some products.). There is white label where is Maybelline text and product name with pinkie New text. Under it says 16 hrs flawless coverage and big sup price for me…. Product got SPF 12. Excellent for sunny spring days.
Bottle is 30ml.
It's also dermatologically tested non-cosmedogenic and oil-free.

Testing:

I hold bottle in my hands, and start looking colour. AGAIN I did it. I really don't know how I manage to do it (because this is not the first time, and some how I just know that it's not going to be last one neither.)I bought wrong colour. I got NUDE not Cameo as I was looking. And I'm dam sure that I even got right bottle in my hand but here it says..."21 Nude". Ouch well, its bit darker that I was hoping but...summer is coming and I have been sunbed so my face got nice tan now so maybe it's not bad after all. I open cork. I press several times pump before formulas dispense. I do my first mistake. I hold bottle wrong. I hold it up right, and all formula start running down bottle making big mess. Pit clean operation and another position and I manage to dispense formula on my palm without mess. So when you use this product hold it horizontal to avoid mess. On my palm is now white and brown formulas, I use my finger to mix it and start to blend it on my face. MY GOD, I'm in heaven. It feels so silky and makes skin nice looking. I do not feel heavy like some foundations and I needed only small about 1p amount formula for cover my face and neck. Wonderful feeling. I don't feel that I wear make up at all even I can see that it covers perfectly my face. I'm very happy so far. I go to work, busy day. I'm working in restaurant and this day was extremely hot and busy. Later same night I look my face in mirror, foundation is still perfect, like I was just put it on. My fiancé comes home and I ask his opinion about my make up. He agrees that it does not look shiny like normally after work. And even at evening when I'm ready to wash my face and go to bed it still look perfect. It has done what it promises. It stays perfectly over 16 hrs. I'm over helm about it. I wash my face and it goes easily off, not like some "superstay" where you mite need small face brush to remove it, ouch no, this one remove easily as you add it. I will buy more this product even I would be 10 pound because I know it do what is says.

Ultimate testing:

Very next day after my first test I went to sun beds and you know what happened when you mix sun bed with ultimate blond woman...Red grab. REALLY! I look red, my face, neck, chest are still after 24 hrs burning hot and read. I know, I know, it was stupid but it has done now, and I just have to suffer but this also give chance for ultimate testing. Does this product last in burning face and still feel light and silky and matte. I have not seen any foundation before what do that job so I didn't got high hopes for this one neither. This morning after huge amount after sun cream I added double amount Maybelline Superstay foundation on my palm and start blend it on my face. And guess what, it still felt silky and light. It looks wonderful, covering most of my redness. After work I still look wonderful. I'm so please for this product now I know that it will last all hot summer days and wild night in clubs.

Final words:

There are not enough words to say how wonderful and great product this new Superstay Silky Foundation is. It really makes you feel light and silky, easy to add and remove off. Natural silky look over 16 hours. Perfect look for perfect woman. Its more than good value for money and suitable for young and older woman's as well.
