If there is one thing I've learnt from my mother is that you should never get out of the house without a bit of lipstick on.She always thought that make a tremendous difference to what you feel like and what you present to other people! Never one to disappoint my mother I followed her advice with military discipline :-)

When I first heard this I was probably one of the first to buy it because after all nothing is less attractive than you lipstick wearing off leaving you with just a thin line around your mouth...Been there done that and it's not nice :-) I have tried all sorts of non-transfer lipsticks but no one proved to be any good for my high-maybe too high :-)-standards!So..As I was saying I bought the lipstick from Boots for £7.99 and I must say that I found choosing the right shade to be quite a challenge! That was the first thing that really put me off.Even though the add says that they have a variety of colours I found out that at least 3 of them looked the same !!! So be careful when you choose!
The lipstick is actually part of a duo pack.The packaging is very nice and attractive containing the above named lipstick and a lip balm.The are separate items which I found to be quite helpful. There are 2 steps that you must follow :
1. You apply the lipstick.The lipstick had a fluid consistency which is quite nice and soft on your lips.Watch out for your teeth though!If you stain them with lipstick you'll have a tough time taking it off! After 4 minutes-timed- you can feel your lips getting really tight and then you know it's time for the second step.
***Note: Even though the first couple of minutes your lips will feel soft I experienced something I didn't like...the lipstick became very dry and my lips were screaming for air!!! :-)
2.The second step is to apply the lipbalm AFTER the lipstick had completely dried! The lip balm smells really nice and it's like the rain in the Sahara Dessert! It makes your lips nice and soft but the downside is that in order to maintain a nice shine you have to reapply the lipbalm all the time.That means that you will run out of lipbalm quicker than the lipstick and then you'll have to pay another £7.99 for a full set.The lipstick on it's own is uncomfortable and looks really bad on your lips.
Now my main problem with this particular lipstick was that it didn't really do what it said on the box...so to speak :-) The lipstick did not last for 12 hours -more like 2- and everytime I drank or ate something bits of it would come off. Yes COME OFF which was kindda strange. The second problem was that I ran out of lip balm in the first 2 weeks and then I had to stop using the lipstick. If I didn't manage to put you off buying this particular lipstick :-) then here's some info you might find useful when buying yours:
***You can purchase it at BOOTS nation wide for £7.99 and if you have an Advantage card you will receive 4 points for every pound spent . ***You could also buy it for the same price from Superdrug and some supermarkets. ***Watch out for special offers as some Supermarkets have "£1 off" offers. ***If you wish you could also check EBay.co.uk where you might find it at varied prices ***Try not to use too much lipbalm as you WILL run out quicker than the lipstick. ***Also have a look on their website http://www.maybelline.co.uk/products/lips/l29l70l71l241l429.htm where you can find useful tips about application and beauty advice.

I bought this product in two colours, 'Dawn Pink' and 'Roseberry', with the intention of wearing it for work without having to continually reapply. I got it from Boots (cos I'm a sucker for advantage card points!) and I think it cost me £7.99. The product comes in two parts, a tube of colour and a moisturising balm. The colour itself is meant to stay for 12 hours without having to reapply and the moisture balm is intended for repeated application. ... ...doesn't last very long at all, it stays on the lips but begins to look 'mottled' after a couple of hours. After talking, kissing or eating the colour comes off unevenly and I found my lips feeling very dry if I didn't use the moisture balm every 15 minutes or so; not very practical. Something I found particularly irritating about the product is its tendency to come off onto the teeth; this has put me off using it to work when I haven't got the chance ...

...works - until I tried maybelline Superstay.
I bought it hoping that it would work as it claimed to, but did not really expecting it to.
The colour stays on for hours on end - in fact it needs scrubbing off with quite a bit of effort. The top gloss coat, however, does not stay on very long if you are eating/drinking, and so needs re-applying quite often. For this reason, i have found that the colour stick lasts a lot longer than the gloss stick. ...

Advantages: Stays put all day and all night with just one top up! Disadvantages: Difficult to get the last of it out of the bottle.
...last year or two and Maybelline superstay lipstick comes in so many more colours, I also found it to be better lasting than the body shop one. I would recommend this lipstick very highly . I have found some shops on ebay that sell it at a very reduced price but brand new and still boxed. I do think it is well worth the price even at the store prices. Advantages: The colour stays on for a good length of time and no need to reapply Disadvantages: the conditioning balm needs to be reapplyed very often
I use this product on a daily basis, i find the product very easily to apply in two easy steps. the first step is to apply the colour in a thin layer which is then left to dry for about to minutes, then the second step which is a conditioning balm is them applyed over the top, it leaves the lips feeling moisturised and soft without being sticky, it contains vitamin E to keeps lips healthy. the colour lasts for about 7 hours and does not transfer ... ...needs to be reapplyed quite often and i found it runs out before the tube of colour. it is easily removed using an oil based remover and does not dry out the lips. i found it to be good value for money but the moisterising balm should have more product in. this product is available in 13 different shades ranging from pinks to purple, brown shades. the product comes in two slim tubes ...

Advantages: Relatively cheap Disadvantages: Not 16 hour at all, drying and rolling off.
I've replaced my make up - not that I wear a lot of it at all - in time for Christmas as I've always believed in making an effort for that day, if never again.
I was impressed by '16 hour lasting shine' and admittedly, as Christmas is a tough time with kisses, drinking, eating and talking, I thought I'd give it ago.
The lipstain is a nice colour, and once applied you give it a few seconds to dry, before adding the gloss finish.
When the gloss ... ...my lips and dry and were rubbing off and no amount of blotting would get rid of them.
If you don't mind having to wait a while for it to dry and run your finger over your lips a few time to get rid of the excess ...things, it's not so bad. The gloss finish did only stay glossy for half an hour though.
It was only £3 with P&P from a seller on eBay though, so I guess I shouldn't complain too loudly. ...

I recently bought Maybelline's Superstay Silky Foundation after becoming tired of my current foundation which is Maybellines Dream Matte Mousse. I use the colour Fawn in the Dream Matte Mousse which i assumed would be the colour i would choose in the Superstay Silky Foundation, however i found that Fawn in the Superstay Silky Foundation dried alot darker than i expected so i chose sand which i believe is the shade lighter.
The packaging the Superstay Silky Foundation came in was a plastic bottle which has been divided into two sections, One the actual foundation and the other which Maybelline describe as a Silky feel extender. I found this quite awkward at first as it has a pump dispenser and if you press the dispenser in a certain way only one side of the product comes out, it takes a few tries to figure out how to do this so both ...

At one end is the lip colour and at the other end is the gloss. The colour end has a furry wand applicator and the clear gloss at the other end has a brush applicator.
what attracted me to this product was its claim of '12 hour colour shine'
To use, you first apply the colour and leave it to dry completely. i found that it doesnt dry completely but goes mega sticky and makes the lips go wrinkly. The gloss is then applied. this takes away the really stickiness of the first layer and also takes away the wrinkliness. both the colour and the gloss have a nice smooth texture and are easy to apply.
When both layers have been applied the result is impressive. its super glossy and doesnt run into the fine lines around the lips.
i found the glossy colour lasts about 3 ...
Advantages: good coverage, reasonable price, stays on! Disadvantages: It difficult to tell when it's about to finish - suddendly there is none left!
Maybelline is one of my favourite makeup brands because I think it is really reliable, this foundation is no exception. I love the way the lotion and foundation mix together which really does leave it feeling silky. It also has really good coverage which is a must for my skin! But it can also be used lightly. I would recommend using a brush to mix the white and the colour on your hand and blend onto your face using your finger tips (if you go straight on to squeezing the product onto your face you end up with far to much!)
I have found it stays on better than other foundations I have tried.
But be careful it is difficult to tell when the product is about to finish... suddenly one morning there is none left!!! My only other gripe is that it can sometimes get clogged, (a safety pin usually fixes this though!!)
