Muscle up with Maytag

Advantages: Powerful Suction
Disadvantages: A bit on the heavy side

Maytag U5288 Our very basic Hover model had given up the ghost and retired to that vacuum haven that all old and out of suck vacuum?s go to. It?s poor lung?s were so full of dust and sand that one morning when I plugged her in, she just made a wheezing, whirring, coughing noise and died right there in front of my eyes. Now over the grief, we realised that a replacement was badly in need and off to our local Carrefour store we went to see what we could find. The selection was rather limited with most being the cylinder type. I can tell you I just don?t like these models, not sure why but they give me the feeling that you should be going WALKIES with them and not hovering a home. Anyway I had the choice of 2 uprights, first being another rather basic Hoover model and I couldn?t bring myself to kill another one as I knew it just wasn ...

Maytag Stainless Steel dishwasher

Advantages: Quiet, large inside, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Intermittant fault that doesn't seem to be fixable, expensive

I have had the Maytag for nearly two years now. I bought it to match with new appliances in my refitted kitchen. The machine holds a lot, more than our previous model. It was so quiet that when we first used it we didn't think it was working! It is easy to use, with lots of programmes. It has a low salt and low rinse aid indicator. It has an economy programme as well as all the usual programmes that you would expect for a top of the range dishwasher. About a year ago it suddenly started tripping the electric off and we needed to get an engineer. I bought the machine on line and I looked up Maytag and phoned them, they then arranged for a firm of engineers to send someone round. The engineer arrived, tried the dishwasher but it was fine, so said he couldn't do anything but let Maytag know if it happened again. He noticed ...

Review of Maytag

Maytag MAF8800 stainless steal washing machine- spotless!!

Advantages: Great wash results, low running costs, quiet, looks amazing, bomb proof.
Disadvantages: Expensive

I bought this machine a year ago because of the Maytag reputation and the economy of the machine (which is one of the most economical on the market). The Maytag brand is very big in the USA where I would say they are the equivalent of the Meile brand over there. As expected, the machine has lived up to its billing as a king among washing machines- its bomb proof- very heavy and welll designed as its fully clad in stainless steal. The wash results are superb and does wonders on the 30 degree cycle too. Its fully controllable- you can use the factory presets or create your own wash cycles. I would suggest the eco mode every time. Downsides are that it is expensive- over £1000 but you get what you pay for- you get the impression that the machine will go on for years! ...
