Mazda has now been my parent’s choice of car manufacturer for a long 12 years. Having just donated their 323 to me in favour of an upgrade, I am so proud of my new (if actually slightly old) car. It has served my parents well and this is clear from its age. It has only had to have one major repair when the exhaust was replaced but for a 12 year old car I think this shows you just how reliable it is.

The car is 5 door and my particular one is a super sexy red. The car is not too large nor too small and definitely feels smaller on the inside than it appears from outside. It would definitely make a comfortable family car. As for reliability, my parents have driven this car to and from the south of France once a year, ever since they bought it. Only once did the have to call their international roadside rescue and that was because my dad broke the key in the lock – so again, mazda proves to be reliable. My dad proves himself to be an oaf.

Driveability again is excellent. The car comes with powersteering which is great for weaklings like me. You are situated lower down within the mazda than in a lot of other cars which can be a bit daunting on your first motorway journey but once you get used to this it adds to the sports car feel of the mazda.

This car’s obviously provided out family with excellent value for money as it’s lasted so long. I’m not entirely sure of the miles per gallon but it is definitely cheap to run as I’ve not noticed a considerable dent in my pocket.

Mazda 323 is an all-round great reliable car. Thoroughly recommended for a first car for drivers like myself or for families who can’t afford the more expensive saloons that are on the market.

Thanks for reading!
