This is the first car I have owned from new. I bought it in 2003 and since then it has given me almost no trouble at all. There were a few niggling things wrong at first, for example the sun visor on one side was loose so it wouldn't stay in the correct position, and the sunglasses holder wouldn't stay closed, but these were sorted out under warranty and were minor issues. The only serious problems I have encountered with the car were with the support struts for the hatchback, which do manage to hold the bootlid up but are very noisy and stiff, so it won't go up by itself. They were replaced under warranty but the problem came back and now the warranty is finished :( There is a potentially dangerous problem with the rear seat belts which sometimes lock up for no reason and will not release unless you take it right back to the start position. This is very serious as the belt just gets tighter and tighter and you have to take it off to release it, which is obviously dangerous if you can't stop to do it. I had the belt changed under warranty after arguing with the dealer that it was not supposed to do that. The new belt is slightly longer which is good for baby seats but the problem does still come back occasionally. On the positive side, I think it's fair to say that there have been no other mechanical problems and no electrical problems at all. The car is excellent to drive and not too expensive - I get about 23.5 mpg average and I'm not a slow driver! The boot is cavernous - just under 500 litres to the parcel shelf and more if you take it out. The seats fold flat at the pull of a single lever in the boot to provide even more space. I transported a whole 6x8ft shed in the back of the car (in pieces, obviously!) and even managed to close the boot! The seats are comfortable and there's room for 3 baby seats in the back, should the need arise. A lot of people complain that the road noise is excessive, but I've driven many cars that are far worse, and not many that are significantly better. The car is nearly 5 years old and still feels like new, and looks great! There are six airbags including curtain ones to protect from side impact. I would definitely recommend this car - it has Japanese reliability and great looks as well as excellent handling, comfort and space.
Advantages: Lots of room, Comfortable, Powerful Disadvantages: Bumpy Ride compared to other cars of a similar price
Firstly I should make it clear that I am only 16 (at the time of writing) so I have never driven this car or any other car for that matter but I thought I would give my opinion on this car as I have spent at least 35 hours in it over the summer period.
I have completed my GCSE's this summer so as a result I have had 2 whole months free to go on many holidays in the car including one to the south of France.
Well the most important opinion I can ... ...like to spend a long time in the car. Well this car is extremely comfortable and roomy. There is loads of leg room in the front and loads of room in the back. The front seats can be adjusted with ease. This does lead to a problem with parking, because a sacrifice for all of this is that the car is very long. The particular engine of this car is a 2.0 litre unleaded. This makes the car very powerful with a very fast acceleration and high top speed ...

I had a 2008 Mazda 6 2.0TS 6 Speed as a hire car while on business while in the UK. Firstly the cabin is well well put together and everything was within easy reach. The model I had was equipped with a few options dual climate, 4 x electric windows, cruise control, electric mirrors, steering mounted controls etc. I found the radio controls fine to use but the display in the center of the dash very difficult to use as it was only 1 line display. Plenty ... ...its acceleration would leave the mazda 6 in its wake! Handling is quiet good, very direct steering. The ride is quiet rough though. One thing I didnt like was the manner in which the cruise control was set up. When cruise was "on" a amber cruise light appeared on the dash, when the cruising speed was set it turned to green. I found the amber "stanby state" can be slightly distracting especially driving at night. ...

...It does have to be Mazda one though as no others will fit the dash. This makes it very secure though. The car is very roomy - plenty of space for my 6'4" husband as driver or passenger, and loads of leg room in the back for the kids. The estate has tons of boot space as you'd expect, and a tonneau cover hides any valuables you leave in the car when you're away. It's got a good low boot too so it's easy to get large stuff in and out.
The advert is ... ...wheels replaced as they have corroded, but we're told this is a common problem and Mazda are getting another supplier of wheels.
It can be a bit noisy on some road surfaces - not sure if this is the tyres we've fitted but I just turn up the stereo! ...

Advantages: Looks good Disadvantages: See review, too many to mention
...this particular model being the Mazda 2.3 sport, I was looking forward to trouble free fun driving. Not the start of a nightmare that has gone on and on.
I should have known this was not going to be good when the original day of collection was changed, it was lucky for me that I phoned them before going straight to Mazda. It was something to do with it not being registered, so as a goodwill gesture they told me that they would fill the petrol tank ... ...had a letter from a Mazda dealer, who told me the clutch had in fact been worn out and in a performance car this can be achieved in an afternoon. The letter goes on to quote this can be achieved by motoring journalists. I consider myself to be a careful driver, although I enjoy top gear I am not Mr J Clarkson.
When I collected the car a few days later, I noticed the trip computer was not working, (this rectified after a few days) and there was a ...

Advantages: Sporty Looking, Range of Colours available, Low fuel consumption Disadvantages: Some difficulty with Blind Spots
I have owned my Mazda 6 since Spetember 2003, and I have to say it is the nicest car I'll have for a while. I have not long been driving, and have previously had a Ford Fiesta and Fiat Punto, which are no source for comparison as this is the largest car I have driven, and probably the only one I'll be able to afford for a while.
The Mazda 6 I own is Black with a 1.8 litre engine, with alloys, ABS, Cruise Contol and power steering. It handles excellently, ... ...I recieved highly.
This Mazda is an all-round great car. I'd think it'd be suitable for families, due to the large amounts of room in the boot and the back of the car, as well as being suitable for short and long journeys...just be extra careful when parking in a multi-storey car-park as I wouldn't say this is a car I'd like to "dink" on a pillar. ...

Advantages: Very spacious; Looks and feels 'sporty' Disadvantages: Not very economical on short journeys
Please note, that the picture DOES NOT show this model of car.
I have had the mazda6 sport for just over a year now. The main reason for purchasing it was to buy a larger car, as I had a peugeot 206 and my husband had a toyota celica.
We chose the 'sport' model, which on our car has the full body kit also, as my husband enjoys driving sportier cars. We did look at the TS and TS2 models, but they did not have as many godies on them and did not look and feel quite so sporty.
The space in this car is excellent and the boot space is ENORMOUS. It is a very comfy ride and handles well. The back seat seats 3 people fairly comfortably and the front and rear leg room is good.
The car has lots of 'goodies' such as cruise control, CD changer, air con, sunroof etc.
The car looks really nice, especially with the body kit, although not all ...
Advantages: cruise control Disadvantages: the radio and time
this car isnt excelent but it is good on the inside the leg room is gr8
it has got cruise control which is fantastic
the only bad thing is the blue colour

the advantages of this car is:

ps the radio can tune it self but you have to sort out the clock if the times change (please rate) ...
Advantages: Power,Comfort,Sport Disadvantages: I couldn't buy it with cruise control and parking sensor.( Depends from the country)
I drive this car since 2005. I have the model Mazda3 1.6 TS 4dr Activematic - (Auto) with : climate control, 6-dish mp3 player. I love its shape which makes feel young and attract you easily if you are at the age until 30 years old. The driver position makes you feel luxury even if you drive a long distance. Every time you will take your place you will feel spontaneous. You can have a comfortable journey with 5 passenger, with the climate control to affect just a little the power of the car.
The Combined Fuel Consumption seems good as compare with the manual that other friends have and others cars of the same category. It depends and from the driver how gentle is with the petrol pedal. But if you drive until 130 km the consumption is good.
Disadvadage is that I couldn't buy it with cruise control and parking sensor.( Depends ...
