I woke up one morning and looked in the mirror, What did i see?
A GREY Hair, Arrghhh what do i do? what can i do? i know i'll buy a sports car that will make me feel young and vibrant again, Wont it?

Well short answer yes it did, but in a grown up way. Ok, here goes what did i buy a Mazda MX5. For those who don't know a MX5 is a small two seater sports car coming in two engine sizes 1.6 or 1.8 and three gear boxes 5 speed, 6 speed and auto. (Rumours grow of a 2.0L car coming in summer of 2002)

Why? Three Reasons The sales guy at the dealership Mazda Beaconsfield, Bucks for information. The Cost and the huge smile it brings to your face when you pull the hood down and press the throttle.

The sales guy was not pushy, he let me and my partner take the car out on our own. Which was great as the rover, toyota or Hyundai garage would. Ok, he haggled over a discount and fair play he stuck to his guns. But i still came away with something, A 1.8i MX5, Seperate detachable hard top, CD player, Alloy Wheels and Metallic paint all for under £18,000. The car also comes with 3 years warranty, roadside assistance and a anti perforation warranty. Also a great plus was the servoice intervals of 9,000 miles/ 1 year.

The car has a top speed approaching 130 mph, and although not the quickest from 0-60 mph it was lower than the MG rover and far more comfortable than the MR2. For information im 6'3" and fit in as snug as a bug. Dont buy it if you play golf as the boot is too small.

So to sum up if you want a value for money sports car i would reccomend the MX5 1.8i. 1.6i is fun but the slightly bigger engine makes far more fun HEHE.
