We chose the 'sport' model, which on our car has the full body kit also, as my husband enjoys driving sportier cars. The main reason for purchasing it was to buy a larger car, as I had a peugeot 206 and my husband had a toyota celica. We chose the 'sport' model, which on our car has the full body kit also, as my husband enjoys driving sportier cars. We did look at the TS and TS2 models, but they did not have as many godies on them and did not look and feel quite so sporty. The space in this car is excellent and the boot space is ENORMOUS. It is a very comfy ride and handles well. The back seat seats 3 people fairly comfortably and the front and rear leg room is good. The car has lots of 'goodies' such as cruise control, CD changer, air con, sunroof etc. The car looks really nice, especially with the body kit, although not all of the sports models have this. We looked at lots of different models of cars before buying the mazda (honda accord, peugeot 407, toyota avensis etc), but the mazda seemed to have the nicest look and was by far the most spacious, especially boot space. The main disadvantage with this car is the petrol consumption on small journeys, although on longer runs it is not so bad. Sorry, I am not able to quote the fuel consumption figures, but all I can say is that on the 'around town' driving, it seems that I am forever putting petrol into the tank, although I have to admit, that I never ' fill the tank fully', I tend to put £15 / 20 in at a time. However, on a recent journey to Wales, nearly £60 worth of petrol did about 450 miles. Although we have been pleased with the car, we are selling it, as we now have a baby and need to economise. (My husband now has a renault laguna which will become our main family car and we are then downgrading the mazda to something smaller like a toyota yaris) I would recommend this car as a good family car, with a sporty feel to it, although if you're looking for ecomomy, a mazda 6 of a different model (sport diesel, or TS2) would probably be a better choice. Unless, of course, like myelf, you have a husband who insists on the car with the body kit!!
