    I am excited. Even LegendaryMrsDude is excited. So in txt spk, you could say that "We RX-8ed". Get it? But why are we excited? Well, its nearly that time - the time when the contract on my beloved Honda Civic Type-R runs out and I send it back to the garage. For the last 3 years it's carried me over 50,000 fun-filled miles and I really thought I would dread it when it's time came to an end.     I have owned many Japanese sports cars over the years and when the chance of an RX8 came my way I dived in feet first and bought it without even taking a test drive. Mine is an 06 model RX8- 192 with 40K on the clock and is in superb condition only having had one owner from new.This is the 5 speed 192 BHP model and has premium two tone leather red/black (£1600 option new) very smart looking with velocity red bodywork.It has a golden mica sheen that only appears in bright sunlight,otherwise it looks non metallic red on a cloudy day,very unusual but beautiful looking as it suddenly comes "alive" ... more

    I love cars! I love something with a little 'poke' and something that's got fun factor. Looks are quite important too.......and the Mazda RX-8 ticks all of these boxes. I became the owner of a second-hand 2 year old 192bhp 4 door version a month ago and I like it. It sticks to the road like brown stuff to a blanket......you can do a good 80-90 mph round a sharp bend without losing control of your sphincter and feels very safe and controlled.     Have you ever owned an ineffably fun sports car that just couldn't function as an everyday commuter? Well look no further; this quirky rear wheel drive, sports coupe with four suicide doors and a 231 bhp, 1.3 liter Renesis rotory engine can take the 2 and half children to school and back in speed, style and comfort. There is a six speed automatic version with 192 bhp, but with the six speed slick manual transmission tallying up a screaming 231 ponies the enthusiast's choice is clear.     I've owned my RX8 for two and a half years old now and I will be replacing it in the next six months. I have to say that this is the best car I have every owned and I will need to think long and hard about what car I am going to replace it with. Living with the RX8 has been a good experience although not a perfect one. The car is good value for money, but after living with it on a daily basis for this long you can tell where Mazda have saved money on quality.
