When you think of Mazda in the car market, you think of cheap Japanese cars that were once unreliable and did not last. Well all of that has now changed with the added flavour of European design concepts and factory built models on our own shores as well as the continent. The entire range has been specifically designed and targeted at the European motorist.
This runs throughout the company, through their competent, courteous and well informed staff, through to their models and build quality, right down to their garage, repair and service procedures and policies. In fact, if you want very good value throughout the life time of your car, you could do a lot worse than shopping at a Mazda Dealer. My local Dealer is John Pease at Braintree. Here they offer the entire range of Mazda vehichles to the public at very competitive price. In fact, comparitive vehicles in the Mazda classes are normally priced some £1,000- £2,000 more than these cars. The range offers cars from the small people carrier Demio to the larger Premacy right up to their MPV. They supply more traditional family cars such as the popular 323 and bigger 626. How about a sporty number such as the MX5. You show me where you can buy a soft top sports car for under £14,000 brand new other than a Mazda? Off road is handled by the tribute and commercial vehicles are handled with the B-series range.
Customer service. ----------------- Second to none. Even my BMW dealer that I visited when buying my new car was not this attentive. Compared to the Nissan Delaer who pounced on me as soon as I walked through the door, the Mazda dealer made sure I knew he was there if I wanted any help and offered me a coffee while I discussed the range. Very polite. They do not try and pressure you into a sale. Why should they? they let their products do the selling and just provide you with any additonal info you may require.
Service/satisfaction. --------------------- When we take my brother's MX5 in for a service, it always comes back immaculate. Cleaned both inside and out and looking like brand new. These little extras I find, influence future purchases and they have certainly impressed me. Their workmanship cannot be faulted as we have never had a problem with any routine servicing procedure they have performed.
Pricing. -------- Buying them is very reasonable. Servicing is also competitive. In fact, you are unlikely to get it any cheaper if you take it to a local garage than taking it direct to the dealership here.
Overall. -------- A great place to buy and service your car. I highly recommend their entire range and particularly the dealership. It gets my vote.
Advantages: Friendly, informative, helpful. Disadvantages: None spring to mind
...my first second hand, B-Reg Mazda 323 in 1997. Although I wrote that one off after 6 months, I bought an almost identical one straight away which ran smoothly for a year before I sold it to a friend who still runs it with hardly any maintainance required. Since then, I've had a Ford and a Peugeot, and when I was looking to buy another car, I found another Mazda 323, and had to buy it - it was such a relief to be driving one of these fantastic cars ... ...rambling discourse is that I wanted to look after my shiny new (well, second-hand) 323F, so I've been to Westleigh Mazda, in Leigh-on-Sea Essex, on two occasions, and both times they were incredibly helpful and informative, and I never felt pressured into paying for any services they offered, like you can do in garages. Since Mazdas are expensive to fix if they go wrong (which is rare), it's nice to find a garage which will tell you exactly what's ...

Mazda dealerships must be one of the most laid back I have come across. If you want the hard sell they will do it for you but it clearly is not something they want to do. Naturally, of course they will butter you up and try to make you feel good and you can always rely on a cup of coffee.
I was told that Mazda only allot so many cars each year to each outlet but dealers do have to achieve their targets. Why so laid back then?
I have come to the ... ...competition and seen the difference. Not cheap of course but if you are anxious for a bit of quality at an affordable price this could be where to go. I think most car buyers would do well to consider Mazda for sensible style, quality of build, reliability and residual value. ...

Advantages: Well thought out, use it for years, built in car seat, many more! Disadvantages: Size
WOW!!! What a buggy, not the sort of thing that a 21 year old usually comes out with but it needs to be said!!!! This thing is like the porsche of the buggy world. When my wife find out she was pregnant a family member said that she would treat us to a buggy, "Great" I thought as you do, when people start talking a baby stuff. Well 9 months later the little one arrived. The inlaws came round and did the cooing round little one, and the father in ... ...fighting the father in law to let me do it) we had this buggy up and runnig, the test drive was next.
We loaded the little one into the built in car seat, which fits and locks securly with one easy clunk click motion, and loaded her in. I live in germany and anyone who has been over here knows the pavements are a bit dodgey to say the least, but this thing owing to the sixe of the wheels handels it great.
You can collapse it with one hand, put ...

...recently had experience of two Mazda dealerships. One has been superb, the staff were friendly, knowledgable and didn't hard give me the hard sell. The other, well a little bit dodgy, might be the best way to describe them.
My husband and I wanted to buy an MX-5 and we test drove one, signed the paperwork and turned up to collect it. All that was required was a couple more signatures on the finance, which we had been quoted for at 7.5% (extremely ... ...APR printed on it in big letters!!! This wasn't the only problem. If you are spending £11 500 on a car from a registered dealer I don't think its unreasonable to have a service history........ the dealers couldn't locate the one for our car when we turned up, but said that by the time we came back they'd have located it.
We went home, spoke to the bank, who agreed a loan and were ready to collect the car the following day. Imagine my distress when ...

...had bought a brand new Mazda Demio, they promised me a very good trade in deal with my old car a year old Mazda 323. After I had done the deal and had traded cars I stood to pocket £1000.00, however when I delivered the old car and collected the new one they then let me down and only paid the finance on the old car so I never got the £1000.00 as promised, after lots of talks with the manageing director I still have got no where and am still out of ... ...to do buisiness with them to make sure that they have got everything in writeing before going ahead with a deal. I love cars! I love something with a little 'poke' and something that's got fun factor. Looks are quite important too.......and the Mazda RX-8 ticks all of these boxes.
I became the owner of a second-hand 2 year old 192bhp 4 door version a month ago and I like it. It sticks to the road like brown stuff to a blanket......you can do a good 80-90 mph round a sharp bend without losing control of your sphincter and feels very safe and controlled. Steering is quite stiff but very responsive and, again, gives you that feeling of control.
It looks good too.....very sleek in profile and a bit of a beast from the front view. The interior is 'ok' but could be better. There's a lot of plastic but it's not too crringeworthy. The 6 CD multi-changer is a nice bonus and the Bose sound system is crisp and clear and does not distort ...

Advantages: Affordable, impeccable handling, styling, standard features, power, fun factor, driveability, usability (a true everyday sports car) Disadvantages: gas mileage, lack of low end torque, Mazda service
opposed to a piston engines 40 or so) there is very little to break down. The engine has purred on to 30,000 miles without a hitch and since Mazda extended the warranty to 8 years on the Renesis engine there is little to worry about. The rest of the car has a 5 year/60,000 mile warranty and aside from needing a few ECU upgrades I have had no unscheduled visits to Mazda. Mazda's service is far from the best, in fact the people at Mazda take twice as long as they say to fix your car and will almost never work with you to help you. They do whatever they feel is right once you give them your credit card. I recommend taking your RX8 to specialists when it needs work done.
Overall this car is sheer driving bliss. The funky suicide doors that open out allow easy access to very functional backseats; although closing these doors can be somewhat ...

Advantages: Handling, brakes and performance Disadvantages: High fuel costs and massive dpreciation
After spending £25,000 on purchasing the 231ps model, from new with factory fitted extras I was let down time after time.
16000 miles-catalytic convertor packed in(warranty claim)
1st mot-newbrake discs required all round due to corrosion.
Paint rubbing off interior sills due to bodyflex(warranty claim)
Window winder mechanism replaced(warranty claim)
23,000 miles and 3 months out of warranty auto leveliing headlights packed in (£800 for sensor mechanism-Mazda paid 70% of bill as good will)
25,000 miles and oil cooler pipes started leaking oil-£1300 to repair (later refunded by Mazda when they issued a recall) lucky I found out about the recall as I sold the car after the repair.
On the plus side the car was great ...
