McAfee E-Business Server uses PGP encryption technology to protect data everywhere it is accessed by users, allowing full control of who has access to what information. Information and data can now be exchanged securely with automated protection within applications, file transfers, transaction processes, and email, using the strength of PGP encryption. As with any security implementation, safekeeping your data is only as secure as your weakest link. It is common knowledge that most hacker attacks come from inside the corporation. Therefore, it is imperative that data is encrypted, both when it is transferred electronically and when it is stored, to prevent unauthorized access. McAfee E-Business Server protects data as it is transferred and stored locally, so that only authorized personnel can access it. Encrypted data is protected from unauthorized access and in the event of a security breach, including an exploitation of Web server vulnerabilities. In addition, applications using APIs to call encryption are more easily maintained over time because the development skills required are widely available. McAfee E-Business Server and its Native APIs complement SSL encryption and extend the protection of encryption to internal processing and storage.

McAfee provide a weekly update to the 'signatiures' that identify viruses and this downloads as soon as you start up your PC and connect to the internet (also relatively foolproof).
They have an excellent web site with information on viruses and threats - interesting for those in the business but can be a little frightening for the uninitiated (it's a bit like reading those medical symptoms books - you start to fear the worst).

...This is one of the best anti-virus softwares in the market today. Say this with great confidence as I am the user for the last two months.
The best part of it is the regular and effective set of updates made available to the users. This helps prevent even the latest form of viruses be detected and deleted. I have had the experience of virus attacks as I use the pen drives and the internet regularly to share files with friends. But McAfee has bailed me out of virus spreading every time I had one attacking my system. I can’t explain them all but my whole hearted thumbs up to McAfee for helping me keep the system safe and secured.
While my friends who used other anti-virus softwares had to format their system to clean the virus I never had to because of the security I enjoyed and enjoy. After realising, my friends too have shifted to McAfee...

...company's server in the office, as I work from home, so I need to be free of all threats and keep everything up to date, so I don't compromise their system!
I was hugely disappointed when I suspected I had a problem, as my system was 'playing up' and odd things were happening - websites started to open up on my screen without my intervention, so I did an online check with Kaspersky. It found three worms on my system that were active, so I carried out a virus update, disconnected from the internet and did a full scan of my system - McAfee again not picking them up. It was set to scan all files, hidden included. I then scanned again with Kasperky online, and deleted the threats.
I also don't personally like the way the products bundled with this package all work together (Firewall, Anti Virus, Anti Spam, Privacy Control, Shredder etc...
