picked up on and erradicated. I therefore decided to purchase this 2005 version of McAfee's Internet Security Suite on Ebay for £15. (brand new, sealed box, usually £50 in the shops). For that money it was worth a try I thought.... It was extremely easy to install, very straightforward, prompts you all the way though from installing, registration, activation and set up/configuration as you would expect, generally easy to use on a daily basis - however on daily use I found some of the features to be annoying......... Several threats got through, even though I check sometimes twice a day for updates. I have a continually on, broadband connection and my PC is in a middle room in my house - I walk past it several times a day, keeping it up to date as I go, and it is left on and connected permanently for work reasons. Excellent product! (McAfee Internet Security 2009)

Advantages: Reliable, Efficient, Quick installation, Easy to use
Disadvantages: none

Having opted for the download version of this product I have been highly pleased with it thus far. I have been running the security suite for about a month now and have experienced no problems at all. The installation process was very quick, I only was required a single restart, and a short registration process was all that was required from my part. The virus scanner and liveupdates run smoothly, without needing my interference on a computer which has only 1Gb ram. I have found this most useful, given my previous virus scanning product of choice was the Norton Security Suite 2008, which noticably slowed my PC. Another very handy feature of this product is the McAfee SiteAdvisor tool which appears on the bottom righthand corner of your screen whilst browsing the web. McAfee Internet Security 2009 The Powerfull Internet Security

Advantages: Some feature have been added on this version such as parental control and web site safety rating
Disadvantages: Need more time if we want uninstall it, memory used too much

In my opinion McAfee Internet Security 2009 is a solution for security and stability problems on a computer. I have been using it since 3 months ago and it's really powerfull compare to another antivirus. Some features have been added in this version such as the Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, Anti-spam Anti-phishing, Two-way firewall, Web Site Safety Ratings, Identity Protection, Parental ControlsData Backup and also on demand scan. Easy update virus database. We can do manually or automaticly. A backup and restore feature (requiring download and installation of .NET 1.1) can be very usefull if we lost important files. A network management tool allows local computers to be identified and monitored by McAfee which mean every unusuall action can be controlled. Make lost data precentage become smaller and smaller.
