Have used these for years excellent for thickening a stew, sweet or savoury sauces - just stir into the warm/hot liquid. No flavour or colour, it just thickens. It does not make the sauce lumpy - in fact it is pretty well fool proof! The fact that it is in small granules mean that it is easy to put a small amount in, stir, and if still not thick enough add another little sprinkle.
