Disturbing by any videogame standards.

Advantages: Gripping story, excellent style, really good gameplay, very likeable characters, dark and macabre.
Disadvantages: Graphics are somewhat dated, only a few cinematics

'Alice' is a third person puzzle adventure platform game by American McGee. It runs exactly the same on a Mac as it would a PC, with no compatibility issues whatsoever. A dark and twisted adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic works, American McGee's Alice uses plot elements of 'Alice in Wonderland' as well as 'Through the looking glass.' Despite not being a big fan of platformers myself, I found this one quite entertaining. Much of the emphasis in this game seems to be on plot. Following the death of her parents in a house fire, a young girl, Alice, becomes withdrawn and suicidal. She is subsequently placed in a mental asylum where she continues saying nothing comprehensible to anyone, often responding violently to any attempts at interaction. She retreats into a World of her own, Wonderland, where many macabre versions ...

Bad Day LA

Advantages: nice graphic and sounds
Disadvantages: nothing

American McGee the creative game guru that gave birth to the dark version of Alice in Wonderland a couple of years ago and the more recent Scrapland is brewing another tile. The new fling exposes the realities of life in America with a humorous twist through the eyes of a corrupt social recluse Anthony Williams who is living out his misery of a life in Los Angeles. Instead of the superior visual realism seen in games today Bad Day has cell shaded cartoon like graphics and with its open ended Grand Theft Auto-style game play it looks a lot like the simpsons only with much more violence. Another is basically just trying to get the hell out of LA. He just keeps bumping into all sorts of citizens in trouble around the city which is in total chaos and keeps getting worse along the way. He will be seen helping parents dealing with durg ...
