Well, I thought seeing as I didn't give the snickers flapjack by McVities a very good rating I thought I'd let you all know about another McVities flapjack - and this one is certainly worth shouting over.
Again I discovered this flapjack from our sandwich man who comes to my work. I have not seen these in any supermarkets but to be honest I haven't been looking. This flapjack again like the snickers one costs in the region of 70-75p. ...in a blue and white plastic wrapper. Much more noticable than the plan dull boring wrapper of the snickers one.
These flapjacks are suitable for vegetarians but the packet does warn that these may contain traces of nuts or sesame seeds so again for the nut allergie sufferers this is one not for you.
Each flapjack contains 16.8g fat and totals 349 calories!

When you open this the smell is not as strong as I thought it might be. It is just a light whiff of hobnob biscuits. This is a rectangle flapjack covered in quite a thick layer of milk chocolate. The flapjack itself is moist and chewy yet crunchy at the same time. This is much more of a snack than a cereal bar. This one is not overly moist and certainly not as sickly sweet as the snickers flapjack. This one tastes just like a more chewy, thicker version of hobnob biscuits. It's delcicious, the only way I can describe it.
The chocolate complements it well and adds a sweet touch but not overly and is just the right amount.
These flapjacks are also available as plain hobnobs flapjacks which are wrapped in a orange and white wrapper.
Overall I probably wouldn't buy these in with my shopping for at home as they are quite pricey (one star knocked off for that) but if I was at work and desperate for a snack I would definatley have one of these. They are very tastey and very filling for the size. These flapjacks are much much nicer than the snickers ones and if you are a fan of McVities hobnobs then I would recommend you to give these a try.
