First you have to assemble it and it can be a bit loose. You need to tighten firmly. Starting is easy, but you must make sure you do not accidentally pull the electrical wires apart. It can be repaired, but I found I had to put tape over the electrical connection to prevent accidental damage.
Once going the strimmer works well and performs efficiently. Unfortunately the looseness of the engine mounting does detract from an otherwise reasonably priced machine.
Two weeks after writing this review I attempted to use the machine at my allotment. The engine mounting was still loose despite tightening the screws further. However, I was able to use the strimmer and after a while stopped to adjust the strimmer nylon.
I then attempted to restart the machine when to my horror the engine fell off the end of the strimmer. The engine was still running but hanging loose. At this point the engine suddenly stopped. I then sought to reassemble the strimmer.
I found I had overtightened the screws (but the whole thing remained loose anyway) and now the strimmer had literally fallen into two parts.
The electric wires had pulled themselves clear of their mountings and this is what actually caused the engine to stop.
So what had been just about satisfactory I now consider to be unsatisfactory, indeed very poor..
