Advantages: Good prices, selection of bargain bikes Disadvantages: limited for the higher end cyclist
...Glass and Steele MotorCycles in Alloa has been around for decades. I only moved to Alloa around 5 years ago but knew of it before that.
A friend of my Dad's had a mate that worked there repairing old Jame's motorcycles in the 50's.
These days they dont repair motor bikes but actually sell pedal cycles, so the name may be a bit misleading.
THE SHOP
This cycle shop is a little out of date these days and perhaps suffers a little because it is situated off the beaten track in Alloa.
The shop itself is clean and well presented and when you walk by its pretty clear from the bikes in the window that its a cycle shop. Its a pretty small shop but has a goo little viewing area for the bikes. They also have the usual regulatory desk area with some racks behind displaying the spare parts they have to offer.

Advantages: Good driving instructors Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...Locke school of motoring is a good school of motoring i paid for 12 hours of driving lessons that cost me around £100-£150 it took me a while to take these lessons because i let my 1st theory test run over the 2 years and i had to take another 1 and i passed it after the 4th time. The driving instructor i had he was great because im short he made me sit on a cushion so i was higher up and i could see a bit better and i told him what i was failing on in my other tests and with his help i got through.
The prices at the time last year were about £16 for an hour and about £32 for 2 hours. With Locke i found that the prices were reasonable but are expensive because you could probably get them for cheaper. You can either have a woman instructor or a male instructor it depends on who you feel more comfortable with to help you through your...

Advantages: Cars available at reduced prices Disadvantages: Located just outside Birmingham
...I had a budget of £5,500 and was looking for a second hand car. I travelled around a lot of local car dealerships to get an idea of what I wanted to buy and how much I ought to pay. I found a Daewoo which was about 4 years old with a reasonable mileage for £4000. I decided that this was the car I wanted but before I bought it I checked the internet for similar cars.
I found the Motor Nation site and a pre-registered Daewoo with 11 miles on the clock for £5499. I telephoned to check that it was stil available and placed a £250 deposit there and then.
I checked the Daewoo site to compare prices of a brand new car and the one I was buying, the brand new one was £8295.
I caught a train to Birmingham and was met at the station by the friendly salesman and on receipt of my bankers draft he handed me the keys to my new car.
My...
