As I was scrounging around in the loft, I stumbled across my old copy of ‘Medal of Honor: Rising Sun’. Apart from the fact that the American producers spelt honour wrong, the game was everything... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some glitches, Graphics could have been more polished, Some poor levels

Electronic Arts must have reached the point by now where they feel that all they need to do to make a game a success is to stick the words "Medal of Honor" on the front cover. The Medal of Honor (MoH) series has been on the go for a number of years, and has produced a series of mostly successful World War 2 themed shooters across a variety of platforms, including one of my favourite PS2 games, Medal of Honor Frontline. It was the great enjoyment that I got from Frontline that has been encouraging me to try out other games in the series in the hope of finding something that catches my ... more

HIDEOUS ERROR OF JUDGEMENT # 1 The Japanese are in the midst of executing the biggest strategic error in the history of warfare. Squadrons of fighters are deploying wave after wave of explosives upon the Hawaiian U.S. military base Pearl Harbour (drop the ‘u’s in Harbour if you must) slaughtering over two thousand service men and civilians in the process, and sucking the dormant power of America into WWII. Oops. HIDEOUS ERROR OF JUDGEMENT # 2 I am in the midst of executing the biggest purchasing error in the history of retail. My wallet is deploying note after note upon the GAME counter ... more

When the original Medal Of Honor burst onto the scene in 1999, it became the mother of all 'sleeper' hits. Not only was it enjoyable, atmospheric and brilliantly designed, it represented one of a very select number of FPS games to have worked effectively on the PlayStation format. With MOH selling well and EA pulling the strings, it was perhaps no great surprise to see the series output upped for the PS2 - four entries having appeared on the console. Advantages Advantages Amazing sound.

Disadvantages Disadvantages It will only last for a while

The ‘Medal of Honor’ series are one of Elecrtronic Arts (EA's) best game series and Medal of Honor titles such as ‘Frontline’ on Gamecube, Playstation 2 and X-Box have reached number 1 in the charts. First of all the bad things about Rising Sun is that it's even shorter than Frontline, I mean a lot shorter. There are only nine levels, It's a quick game when it comes to gaming. another bad point is how strong the enemies were, I found myself emptying entire clips on one guy on numerous occasions, and some gurs can even take more than one shot to the head, am sorry but that isnt right. Also ... more
