Media & Performance

The University of Salford offers a wide variety of courses open to people from all areas and all ages. I am currently studying my second year on the Media and Performance course and have definately made the right choice!
i know some of you will be worry yourself sick wondering what area is best for you, what University is best for you and what course is the right choice. Don't fret! If you are interested in performing, whether it being singing, dancing, acting, or the technical side such as camera and radio, then this course is definately for you.
It combines the performing with the technical and the academic. You are assessed throughout the year and in the first year you have 2 exams to sit. In your second year you don't have any exams, you are just assessed throughout the year! In the third year you have to do several performances plus a dissertation, like all degrees!
You even have a great facilities within the school and outside it. Salford has its own tv channel - Channel M and Radio show, Shock FM, but you can also take part in other recreational activities and clubs.
