...I got a box of 10 medion 80min CD-R disks as a christmas gift.
My CD-writer only writes at 4x speed so is slow enough anyway, but to my horror these disks only write at 2 speed. That means a whole CD takes a whopping 38 minutes to write.
The discs are unreliable, I have had to throw 2 away because of errors duruing writing.
I don't know how much these discs cost, but their only saving grace can be that they are dirt cheap.
Still, I have to say avoid them!...

Advantages: Good quality and reliability Disadvantages: The price isn't anything extra special
...'Good quality' are the basic two words I'd choose when trying to describe any Medion components. Obviously though is depends what configuration the equipment is, to how fast it coppies, reads and does any of the basic jobs that it has it's uses for. One thing I've noted though is that Medion are an honest company, so you get what it says on the side of the box. The CDRW I'm using goes up to 8 speed which runs very fast on our machine. But I'd say to you that the most important feature you are looking for when buying any computer equipment is quality, reliability and also customer support. Medion cover all these pionts to high standards. Price isn't a problem. You may possibly be able to find someone cheaper but in any case I reccomend Medion for outstanding quality....

Advantages: Very Quiet, Easy to use, USB Ports on Front of box Disadvantages: sometimes too hard to hear if the machine is actually on its so quiet! ;-)
...(unsure if this is in the wrong catagory but its all I could find about Medion)
Having moaned constantly for a new computer I was finally granted my wish as my poor old Time Computer finally went to computer heaven.
I was looking around for the cheapest computer at the highest spec and I came across this Medion one. It was actually listed as a special offer by the supermarket chain "Aldi" for a measly £770 for the box, keyboard and mouse which I thought was not a bad deal.
The Machine itself is a Pentium 4 (2.66ghz) whicb comes with a DVD drive and a CD-RW as standard although the one thing I noticed after buying the machine is, it has no floppy disk drive!. Although this isnt a problem as you can buy an external one and plug it into the USB Ports located at the front of the machine.
On the case itself it also has a smartmedia...
