Advantages: Neat and compact, easy to use Disadvantages: Nothing major
This is a great little camera if you don't want something bulky and complicated. It's light and easy to carry, simple to operate, and ideal for capturing those scenes and events that you often come across unawares. You can extend the memory with an SD card (I have, with no problems). It can be a little heavy on batteries (2 X AAA), but it does automatically switch off if not used for a few minutes. It has inbuilt flash if required, and can act as ... ...It comes with a soft carrying pouch, but I would advise buying a more rigid one (e.g. leather) from a camera shop, because pressure on my jacket pocket cracked the viewing screen on my first one. I bought another identical model - but the supplier of the first one replaced it free of charge, so now I have two, and they both work equally well.
There is no optical zoom, but the 8X digital zoom with 10 megapixels gives negligible loss of picture quality.

The set up controls are very finicky to use . The manual which you have to print from the CD is not particularly good and offers inadequate instructions. It should be expandable by inserting an SD card but it does not recognise or read it so you are stuck with just the 16mb internal memory. It does not have an automatic switch off facility after so many minutes so batteries will not last if you forget to switch it off between shots. I cannot find ... ...auction site so I would suggest that other retailers are wary of it.
All in all a more than disappointing piece of 'tat' I have a couple of 'higher end' digital cameras and this was meant as a present for my 10 year old grandson but I don't think he'd thank me for it! ...
