How i deal with a teenager Review with images

Advantages Watching them grow from a child to an adult

Disadvantages Watching them turn into Kevin and perry

"My daughter is 15 years old almost 16, and i can tell you its not been easy at times, but overall she is a good kid that has been through an awful lot. When my daughter was 3 myself and my husband split up, but i think she was to really to young to understand what was going on, and quickly got used to seeing her dad once every 2 weeks for the whole weekend, unfortunately this didn't last for long and he started not turning up, no phone nothing, ..." Terrible Teens?

AdvantagesSometimes we see teenagers grow in confidence and maturity

DisadvantagesSometimes teenagers become angry and moody, or indulge in dangerous behaviours

"[NB: this is a partly-rewritten version of an article on teenagers that I wrote a few years ago for my home education web-site. I've used male pronouns throughout to refer to a teenager because I have sons myself, but each time it could of course equally refer to a girl.] Teenagers get a pretty bad press these days. Some parenting books warn readers that their children will be almost impossible to deal with at two phases of life: the toddler ..." Read review

Puberty And Pre-Teen Monsters

Advantages???

Disadvantages! ! !

"What is worse: to be a teacher and have a class of more than thirty highly pubertal boys and girls for 45 minutes every day or to be a parent and have one child of this age group at home? The worst scenario is, of course, to be a teacher teaching the age group in question and be a parent at the same time with a child or children at home who are as old as the pupils at school! For a long time the craziness befalling pubertal teens has been explained ..." Read review

From A Teenagers Point Of View

AdvantagesFrom a teens point of view

DisadvantagesIm not a parent

"I would still class myself as a teenager, so i really hope i can help some parents here on keeping a good relationship with their children. Well, the situation in my house is, my parents are happily married and have been for 24 years, so obviously, i may act differently from teens living with one parent etc. I'm the middle child and i'm the only girl, which also changes the situation a little. My older brother is 20, my younger brother is 10. ..." Read review

Teenagers and Trying Times.

AdvantagesFew and far between but rewarding in the end.

DisadvantagesWhere do you want me to start?

"Before I start this I just want to say to all you teenagers here on Ciao that this is not in any way meant as detrimental, there are some very talented and mature members out there and they are still in their teens but for parents it can be a tough time. Your no longer a child and you are like a young bird flexing it’s wings and getting ready for it’s first flight and your parents no doubt will be full of fears for you as they want only the best ..."
