Mobile phones like most things in life carry a very small risk. In their case, it is radiation. This risk has to be weighed against the benefits of using mobile phones. As long as each user has the relevant information, they can decide themselves if the "risk" is worth taking. The risk increases depending upon just how much you use the phone.
If the industry can think of ways of reducing the risk, then these improvements should be made but it will not stop people using these phones. They have become too much a fact of like these days.
