Advantages Childcare help to develop you childs social skills
Disadvantages none
Firstly think about what type of childcare you want. Would you be looking for someone to care for your child in the home environment - if that is the case then a childminder/nanny would be the best option for you. If you would rather you child was not at home during the day then a nursery or creche would be better option for you.
No matter what type of childcare you choose you need to ensure that everything is safe and secure. You need to check it out first impressions always count. When you walk in the door, stand back and look around the room what do you see? are the children playing happly, are there plenty of activities going on, is the room bright and colourful, how many staff do you see and what are they doing, do you see safety equipment being used such as socket covers, safety mats, table corners, check for ample lightning - is the room bright enough what about fire doors are they clear, ask about the toilets, outing procedures, anything that concerns you and finally ask to see the insurance certificate it should always be pinned up on the door or wall.

Welcome to Ciao. A fair start, but the review could use a lot more discussion of what's available.
